I slowly opened my eyes as I heard the wrenched sound of my alarm clock going off. I turned it off immediately and propped myself up as I shook my hair into place. I thought of the one more dreadful year I was going to have to suffer through in order to go to college, I sighed.
I hopped off my bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Afterwards I threw on a white t-shirt, some jeans, and my overworn timberland boots.I grabbed a coat and my backpack then left before my mother or father could say anything, I didn't want to be late to school again due to their endless bickering.
As I walked down the street I saw a familiar figure in the near distance along with another that I didn't quite recognize.
I tried to remember the guys name but I couldn't think of it at the moment. I just shook it off and continued walking, not giving it anymore attention.
They were walking remarkably slow so it seemed to be only a mere second until I caught up to them and proceeded to walk ahead of them.
"Jungkook-ah!" I heard a deep voice behind me say, as I turned around to see which one had called my name I was bombarded by the familiar males arm draped across my shoulders.
"Um hello" I said as I subtlety shook his arm off of me. His huge grin faltered a bit but immediately became full again.
"Do you not remember me? My names Taehyung, we have all of our classes together and I sit next to you in practically every one."he said cheerfully as he started walking by my side, his friend then walked by his side.
"Oh yeah I knew you looked familiar, sorry I'm not good with names" I as I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly.
"Oh it's fine, this is my friend Jimin, he's also a senior!" Taehyung said excitedly as he motioned to his short friend to his side. I said hello quickly and kept walking without showing any interest in conversing with them any further.
" How come I haven't seen you around school before this year, are you new?" Taehyung asked as he glanced at me as he tried to keep up with me.
"Yes I am new actually, I had to change schools last year and even if I went to the same school as you prior you probably wouldn't have noticed me since I barely got promoted to senior class this year given I wasn't supposed to graduate for another two years." I stated as I tried my best to explain everything so that I wouldn't have to talk again.
"What do you mean you weren't supposed to graduate for another two years?" Taehyung asked with a confused expression.
"Well I'm supposed to be a sophomore but due to my test scores I got advanced to senior class" I stated simply. I could see the campus a couple streets ahead so I tried to think of something I could say that would get me free of these two. It's not that I didn't like them, I mean I hardly knew them, but the thing was I prefered to be alone, I never really had any friends so I wasn't used to the attention.
"I'm going to go, I don't want to be late to my first period, uh see you guys later" I said as I tried to walk off.
"Oh yea your right we should speed up a little bit so we're not late, Jimin has class on the other side of campus so it'd be better for all of us if we got their earlier, nice thinking Jungkook!" Taehyung replied happily as he walked faster as well. What was with this guy, it seemed nothing can bring him down from his litle cloud of happiness, to be honest I kind of envied him for that.
We all got to campus five minutes early so we all went to our classes, Taehyung said bye to his friend and quickly walked by my side. He started talking to me about some random nonsense that I didn't quite understand but I replied with a simple nod.
When we got to class I quickly took my seat and took out my materials for class. I noticed Taehyung kept glancing my direction with that same grin that was always glued on his face, what was with this guy.
"So Jimin and I were planning on having a sleepover tonight so we can hang out while we still don't have homework since it's the first week, would you like to come?" the older boy asked as I could visibly see him trying to conceal his excitement.
I thought about it for a second, going to this sleepover means that I didn't have to go home for a day. That meant I wouldn't have to hear my parents fighting with each other and I wouldn't be a possible target, this could be the only time I get some peace. The offer was quite compelling, I couldn't give up this opportunity.
"Sure I have nothing else I need to do" I said with a faint smile.
"Yay, this is going to be fun!" Taehyung exclaimed as his full boxy smile took over his features.
Hopefully I didn't make the wrong decision...
