Chapter Two

Justin's POV

Ariana and I were finally on our date. Since she was a vegan, we decided to go to one of the local restaurants that served some vegan food. She looked so gorgeous, that I kept finding myself staring at her constantly. When she noticed me staring, I tried to play it cool. She would then chuckle and carry on with our conversation.

During our dinner, we talked about pointless things, such as animals, and many other random topics. We were truly ourselves around each other, and that's what I love. The waiter then came around and we ordered some dessert. Since Ariana didn't want that much, we decided we were going to share. We ordered some vanilla gelato, and when it came, it had whip cream placed nicely on top. To her surprise, I grabbed some of it on my finger and rubbed it onto her nose.

"Justin!!" Ariana laughed. She grabbed some on her finger and tried to get me back, but let's face it, no one can get me back. She grabbed her napkin and tried to rub it off. I helped her get some off that she couldn't see. "Where is the whip cream at?" She asked me. I quickly answered. "Right there" I said, pointing to her nose. She wiped it off, but still had some left on her lips. "Where else?" She asked, nicely. "Here let me help you. You just have a little bit on your lips." I replied. I grabbed the napkin and gently wiped the rest off. "Thanks, Justin," she said, shyly. I could tell she was a little embarrassed. "Of course, anytime." I said, smiling and trying to make her feel more comfortable. We laughed as I called for the check.

We got our jackets on and got ready to leave. We took each other's hands and walked out the door together. Paparazzi was all around, but we managed to get into the car safely. "That was nice!" she said, happily. "Yeah, the food was great!" I replied. "So how's The Way going?" I said taking my eye off the road for a split second to look at her. "It's great! I'm very proud of it." she replied. "I love the song, it's amazing." I said, and she giggled. "Thank you Justin" she answered. We pulled into her driveway and I parked the car. "Let me get the door for you and I'll walk you in." I said, getting out of the car and running to the other side to open up hers. I took her hand as she slowly got out.

We walked up to her front door, holding hands. "Thank you so much for tonight, I think we'll definitely do that again." she said, smiling. She sounded tired. "Yes we will definitely do this again" I said, and then it was silent. We just stared at each other and gazed into each other's eyes when suddenly her mom opened the door. "Oh my! Hello!Well, I'll leave you two alone!" Joan said quickly, and shut the door. Ariana and I both laughed and smiled.

"Anyways, goodnight Justin, and thank you so much again for tonight and for the flowers, I had so much fun!" she said sweetly, and I replied "Goodnight Ari, you're welcome! I loved tonight, I had fun too." We gave each other a big hug and she kissed my cheek. I smiled and then she opened her house door. "Goodnight Justin, we'll talk soon." Ariana said and I nodded. "Bye Ari, take care." I then walked towards my car and drove home.

I was talking to Alfredo while we were playing some basketball. "So how about Ariana?" Alfredo said. A big smile appeared on my face when he said that. "She's really nice," I said while throwing the basketball towards the hoop. He laughed and grabbed the ball from me.

"You like her!" he said, laughing. "Hey there, I didn't even say anything about liking her." I answered, grabbing the ball back from him. "We've hung out a lot lately and you know, I've helped her with her music. We even sang a song together but.." I stopped.

"But what? Justin she doesn't even have a boyfriend which means she's single. I say, go for it!" He was serious. I look up from the ball and look at Fredo. "I like her a lot but, you know the fans. I love them but what will they think?" "Justin, you won't be alone forever, and I understand how you feel about this. But remember: if its your life, especially your love life, they are going get a little upset because they just want to protect you. Now I know you really like Ariana, I can see it written all over your face. She's a great girl and I really think you should go out with her." I thought about what Fredo said. He was right. I did like her; a lot to be honest. I decided to try.

We finished our basketball game and got some water right when Ariana called me. We talked about meeting up at my house and decided she would come over later tonight. "Oh someone's got a date!" Alfredo said while laughing. I just laughed, hitting him in the stomach, jokingly. "She's coming over later" I said, then looked back onto the screen of my phone. I saw that Scooter was calling me, so I answered. "What's up?" I said. "Justin, have you been on twitter lately?" He said, very sternly. "No, why?" I say confused. "Someone saw you and Ariana going out for dinner and took photos. Justin they are everywhere," Scooter said, "and there's nothing we can do about it. We had a long conversation.
