"Don't fall for a player."
All her friends, her family and even her enemies had warned her. They said falling for a player would break her. Her friends knew what kind of a person he was. Her family had heard all the stories rumoured about him in the town. Even her enemies felt bad for her.
But...
She did not care. She did not want to care.
All her life she sincerely obliged the commands of her family. Stood by her friends in everything they've done.
She was a fantasy lover. She'd read many books and watched many movies. They had led her to believe that maybe she could be the redemption, that innocent girl, to the bad boy of the town.
Like every other princess, she also wished to find her prince-charming.
Alas! Her fate had different plans for her.
News traveled speedily in this little town. So she wasn't oblivious about him. She loathed him. But, it changed when she saw beyond all his walls.
He was her best-friend's, friend.
That's how the two meteors collided.
He said he fell in love with her the moment he laid his eyes on her.
She did not believe.
He chased after her, day after day, month after month, for three years straight.
She ran farther.
He told her one day, he's going to change for her. He went away to another town to finally climb the ladder of a career.
She believed him.
The truth was that she was well aware of the fact that this boy had taken her breath away a long time ago. She had fallen for the sweet things he used to do. She used to blush at his nasty comments.
Just never showed.....
She kept her feelings hidden from her best-friend, him and hell, even from her-self.
Then she decided that it was time to stop running. The alarm had snoozed and pushed her to enjoy herself in her dreamland.
That day she admitted her feelings to him. The tears that streamed down her face while speaking to him marked the love she felt for him.
They lived in different towns, yet she felt connected to him. She had spent just a few days with him but shared a love which can only be witnessed in a sixty-year old couple. She thought he felt the same way.
She lived in a delusion and one day it broke, turning her into a stone.
He came back to town. For few days everything was going well. They spent less time together yet she enjoyed every ounce of it.
He began to ignore her. Flirt with other girls in front of her. She thought that it was just her imagination.
He proved her wrong.
She began to bubble up in doubt. So she decided to check his phone. When she did, she broke right there and then.
Trust left her soul.
Finally the alarm rang and she was living her nightmare.
She kept repeating one thing... Should have heard!
