"Our minds grant us access to unlimited knowledge, its up to us to use what we learn in the best way we can."
~Gravestone~
I'd like to say I'm having good day but then Sia would scold me more than she already does."You just had to be rude didn't you?" Sia scolds as she sits on my shoulder.
"It's not being rude, Sia. It's simply avoiding other people and not caring what they have to say." I tell her while I head to my lab.
"That is considered being rude! You know for someone who's a genius you have absolutely no knowledge about manners."
"Are you done yet? We have work to do," I say.
She rolls her eyes at me and starts to mumble. I walk down the hall and type in a few keys on the elevator making the door open. I step in the elevator and let it take us up to my lab.
Not many people have access to my lab. Usually it's just me, Sia, and occasionally my sister and my mother. Other personals are supposed to have access but I had Sia create a sub routine that changes the code every hour; a code that only me and Sia know. Of course I give my sister and my mother the override code but it's funny to watch the guards and other personals struggle knowing they can't beat a 14 year old's code.
The elevator stops and the door opens and I smile to myself as I walk in to my lab. This place is my pride and joy. The lab is the size of a soccer field. I walk in and see a great view of the city and the sun starting to set in front of me. I marvel at the black marble floor and the white pillars. Upstairs holds my work office while here is basically the recreation lounge. Right now it is in a living room setting. There is an L shaped couch near the fire place with bean bag chairs in the center of it. A 4K TV is mounted on the red firewood color wall along with various kinds of video games and a kitchen is on the other side of the room.
I walk up stairs to my work station, here it looks like an actual laboratory. White floor tiles with white walls and white light and all kinds of science gear you would only see in a Sci-Fi movie.
"So, Gravestone, what are we doing today? Morning training?!" She says with excitement.
"Not now, maybe later. Right now I want to install those parts I got from the Sagittarius empire to the plane. Then I wanna look at that data I found on that lady in their prison. Something about her seems familiar; it's nagging me but I just can't remember."
"Ugh. How many times have I told you to meditate? It helps you grow a stronger connection with your powers." Sia sighs.
"I'm sorry I keep working on my plane. How about this. We'll meditate right now and save the plane work for tomorrow. I still wanna look at that data but after we do this."
Sia's eyes light up, "you mean it?"
"Promise," I nod.
"Finally!" She jumps up and grows to full size. She is about a few inches taller than me (which she constantly teases me about). She is wearing her torn up jeans, grey shirt with a black and red opened up polo shirt and skater shoes with her black beanie. "Come, take off your shoes. You now the rules," she tells me.
"Yeah, yeah." I roll my eyes and slip off my sneakers and put them in the corner of the room. We head over to the window that is overlooking the city and stare while the sky gifts us with a beautiful magenta and purple background. We sit next to each other and I close my eyes and begin to breathe slowly. Meditation is basically self examination. The art of studying your body and your mental and emotional condition. My mother, sister and Sia drill into my head that I need to be meditating at least three times a week. I look at meditation like it's a routine maintenance check-up. If I ever feel upset or angry for no apparent reason I try to take a moment to diagnose the problem. This also helps me master my powers and help me think of ideas or solutions to problems. After I run ny self evaluation, I start to focus on that lady from the Sagittarius kingdom. There is something my subconscious is trying to keep up with. But what??
