I've been on the Bratayley YouTube channel since it started. Which meant, that I would go to Meet and Greets, and would star in some videos. Most of the videos I were in were the daily vlogs, since I was over at their house literally every day of my life. But, this was a challenge video. A video Caleb and I have been dreading since we've heard about it. We'd obviously have to lie to Miss Katie about some things. We both hated lying. But, you gotta do what you gotta do. Me, Caleb, Annie, and Hayley sit in front of the camera, on the couch with our "I have"/ "I've never" paddles. Miss Katie turned the camera on, and started asking questions. Most of them were funny and easy ones but then, the dreaded most awkward question came up. "Have you ever had a crush on one of your family friends or neighbors?". Miss Katie looked at Caleb and I and winked. My face became red. "So?..." she said. Annie and Hayley said "I've never" but, Caleb and I said "I have". We looked at each others paddles and we both turned bright red. We knew that we were talking about each other. Miss Katie grinned and clapped her hands. "YES! I KNEW IT. CAVA IS REAL!" She said screaming to the camera. Caleb and I couldn't help but smile. I guess she was right. "Cava" was real.
Later in the evening, Miss Katie went to edit the video with Mr. Billy. So, the kids went outside. Annie and Hayley went on the trampoline to practice gymnastics. Caleb and I sat on the dock, looking at the sunset. Caleb turned to me and said, "Ava, I've liked you for as long as I've known you, which is thirteen years. I was wondering if maybe you'd-". I cut him off and said, "Yes. I'd love to". He smiled at me, and my face turned bright red. So did his. He took my hand in his and we just sat there. With my head on his shoulder, and holding each others hand. We never wanted that moment to end. Ever since that day, Caleb and I had been dating. Sadly, that moment that we never wanted to end, did. Annie and Hayley squealed and ran over to us when they saw us together. It didn't stop there, Miss Katie had filmed us. It was awkward for a little while, but eventually Caleb and I were comfortable to show our feelings toward each other in our own homes and in public. Our parents were beyond happy. Especially our mothers. They were seriously planning our wedding. Not exaggerating. Mr. Billy was like a dad to me, so he obviously approved, and for my dad, Caleb was always the only guy that he said I was ever allowed to date and marry. So, you could say our relationship was approved of. And, for the five more years I had with him, our relationship grew even more.
