What a diocese it is,
this social media stream.
This endless ocean of moments.
Once hooked it is over.
Once you are a member
it is as if you have signed
a life contract.
This prison.
This system.
This, this and that, that.
We all get on daily.
In the morning,
in the afternoon,
and in the very second
before we go to bed.

This social media thing is
in the blood.
It gives us life,
excitement, and something to look forward to.
But what to do if no one stimulates you anymore.
That is,
if no one replies or sends you messages.
What becomes of this social pool
If no one appreciates you or comes looking for you.
If no one cares about your moments, your pictures, or even your videos.

What becomes of your social media if you die. Does it die with you?
Perhaps it does, the same way lovers die out into flame, the one that no longer keeps us warm.

If there is no reaction then there is no action, no purpose to keep it going.

It is the need of human interaction
that keeps us all online.
