Mike but the end of his pen as he watched at his previous creation. "Appears to be functioning properly. Seems to be naive and have the appropriate age mindset," he mumbled to himself. "Hey, BB! Come back will you?" he shouted to the little robot while turning around and writing down notes. BB dropped the ball he was holding and ran to Mike. "Yes, Master?" it asked. Mike finished writing down his notes before giving a victorious grin and looking up at BB. "You seem to be working just fine BB. Which is good. That means I'm doing something right..."he said, mumbling the last part. "What do you mean?" BB asked, crawling on his tilted bed. "Nothing," Mike responded, ruffling the robots hair. He grabbed its hand and plugged a cord into its wrist. BB's eyes lit up, showing he was charging. Mike gave a smile to BB, before closing his bed and walking off.
Mike walked out if his room, still writing down notes, as his door shut behind him. He was on his way to his other robot, to check and see if everything was good with that one. "Hey- Mike, my man," Nathan said, sliding an arm around Mike's shoulder. Mike looked up from his keyboard irritated, pulling away from him. "What do you want, Nathan?" Nathan frowned slightly. "Oh nothing. Just your extra power core.." Nathan said, putting his arms behind his head and looking around. Mike stopped and watched him. "No way. I need that for Freddy," Mike stated sternly. Nathan rolled his eyes. "Please, its not like I'm going to keep it. Plus those things never run out of energy," he tried reasoning. "Only if you keep it charged," Mike said, glaring at him and opening the door beside him. "No," was all he said, before his door closed. Nathan glared at his door before stomping off.
Mike put the clipboard on his desk before grabbing his extra power core. "I hope you work properly..." Mike whispered, unlocking Freddy's bed and unplugging its charger from its wrist. He grabbed Freddy and placed it on the table beside its bed. He opened its back, placing it inside, making it glow. Mike backed away from it, and within seconds, Freddy's eyes opened, giving off a soft blue glow from his eyes. It slowly sat up. Mike smiled slightly to himself, and ran over to his clipboard to jot down some notes. With ever word, Mike's eyes grew, as well as his smile, and he began giggling to himself. Mike finished with his notes, and ran over to Freddy. "Freddy," Mike said, trying to calm down his breathing. Freddy lifted its head, and looked at Mike. "Freddy, I am your Master, ok?" Mike spoke slowly so it got every word, nodding. "Freddy nodded. "O....k?" it tried speaking. Mike nodded excitedly. "Yes... yes!" He then ran to go get clothes for it. "Wait here!-" He said, already running off. He came back with a dress shirt and pants, along with fancy shoes and socks. "Sorry, but this is all I had.." Mike said, starting to dress Freddy. "After this, you will do some tests, ok?" Mike asked. Freddy nodded, staring at Mike. It liked seeing its master happy, and it will do anything to keep that smile on his face. No matter the cost.
-Small time skip-
"Here, I want you to toss this ball to me. Can you do that?" Mike said, handing Freddy the ball. "Y-yes.... Master," Freddy tried saying. Mike smiled, liking how well it was talking for its first time working. Mike ran across the room, and did a little clap. "Ok, Freddy. I'm rea-" Mike was quickly interrupted by the ball being thrown at his stomach. "D..did I-I..do it?" Freddy said, tilting his head. Mike laid on the floor groaning in pain. He gave a quick nod from pain. "Try...throwing...softer," Mike choked out, gasping in between. Freddy gave a little nod and grabbed the ball, walking back to his spot. Mike struggled getting up, but managed. "Ok," he nodded. Freddy threw the ball, but it didn't give enough thrust, so the ball just bounced in front of him. Mike frowned and face palmed. "At least give it some thrust," Mike complained. Freddy looked down, sadness filling his code. "Oh hey, no no no," Mike said, walking up to Freddy. "It's ok. I'm not mad at you," he said, grabbing and lifting up Freddy's face, giving him a smile. Freddy gave a small smile, and closed his eyes, gently grabbing Mike's hand with his. Mike rubbed its cheeks with his thumbs, reassuring it, it was all ok. Mike then remembered the time, and the lab will be closing soon. "Oh shiiiiii-" Mike began to say, pulling away from Freddy and began packing his stuff. "Sorry, Freddy. But I have to go. Personally, I don't want to be locked in here," he sighed out, stuffing his papers in his backpack. Freddy watched as his master was running around the room, shoving papers in his backpack. He felt cold without his master by his side. Lost. Abandoned.
Freddy was brought out of his thoughts when Mike grabbed his wrist and dragged him to his bed. "This is where you'll sleep from now on, ok?" Mike said, grabbing the charging cord. Freddy gave a little nod, eyeing the machine up and down. "I need you to step inside," Mike ordered, becoming a bit stressed. Freddy nodded slowly and obeyed. Mike sighed and opened a little hatch on his wrist, quickly plugging in the cord. Seeing Freddy's eyes lit up calmed Mike down. "Goodbye, Freddy. I'll see you tomorrow," he finished, swinging his backpack over his shoulder and closing its hatch. Mike gave a little wave before running out the door.
