Awake In Neverland

Dream: Paige and Crew

(Short Chapter)

Paige flopped down on her stomach. She looked up and saw the sun setting on the horizon. Her and her friends Jon, Kai, Adam, and Tobi were currently living in a tree house. They had been 'houseless' for the past two years. Jumping from place to place, they had learned to survive and fend for themselves. They weren't any older than 18. Paige was 17, Jon was 16, Kai was 17, Adam was 18, and Reigan was 17. They all looked older than their age but were children at heart.

"Good night guys." Paige mumbled pressing her back against the corner of the treehouse snuggling up with her blanket, pressing it to her face sweetly. The boys mumbled jibberish as a way to say goodnight. Paige smiled and dozed of into a deep sleep. Soon the others did as well.

While they were asleep, a whoosh of darkness swept into the room and hovered over the kids as they slept. It was the shape of a human with a hooked hand. It laughed a quite devilish laugh. Paige flipped over on her stomach still asleep. The shadow sighed with relief.

Looking around the shadow pulled something out of his pockets. Out of one, he pulled a key. The other a music box of teal, silver, and gold. He pushed the key into it's keyhole and twisted it, then pulled the key out. The lid of the music box opened and a lovely tune began to play from it. Then, the souls of the children began to be ripped from their body's. They awoke frightened out of their mind.

Paige tried thrashing around but she couldn't move. So did the others to escape the grasp of the music box. The shadow with the hook as a hand laughed hysterically holding the box in his hand.

Kai was thrashing the hardest. He was convinced that he was going to die. With all of his might he tried to stand up and tackled the shadow. The music box fell to the floor and the shadow escaped their sight.

Paige looked at Kai as he began to wobble in place, then he collapsed to the floor. Soon she and the rest fell asleep again. Something was wrong. Never mind, something was different. Tomorrow, they would find out.
