I push people away.
I've done it since I was a kid.
If someone gets too close,
I get further away.
It's a method to protect myself from getting hurt,
A defense I installed early in life.
But then you showed up,
And you slowly tore down my walls.
And when I pushed you away,
You always pulled me back.
And when I finally let you in completely,
You left.
I push people away,
To protect myself from people like you.
