I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock going off. I got up from my bed and opened my curtains that came with the shining sun coming in to my room.
I was getting ready for my first day of high school in the middle of the summer.
I was thinking what I should wear and thinking what my hair and make-up should look like.
I was so scared for my first day I got up two hours early. I had to do my hair five times just for it to look perfect.
I was trying to make myself look older. I remember how I felt about the 6th graders when I was in 8th grade.
I didn't want any of the older kids to feel like that about me. I changed my outfit about three times.
I stood, holding myself motionless, quite still. I stared unblinking, at the reflection staring back in the long mirror. The teen in the mirror looked at me with the same expressionless stare.
I wore a plain gray t-shirt half way my waist with a black leather jacket and matching black jeans. I was wondering whether to wear converse or Adidas.
My inner soul interrupts me by saying, just wear converse. I decided to leave my brown caramel hair loose. I applied light makeup.
Alaina,"Can you get your tiny little self right here," yelled Olivia.
Coming I said, getting my bag and heading downstairs towards the kitchen. You getting late she snapped, yeah I know, I better get going, bye Olivia.
Today is my first day at St. Xavier Comets high school. First day in a new school. It was not gonna be easy making new friends at all.
Okay. I have no idea where the school is exactly, but all I know is that it's on my google map!
Before I start the car I take a look at the school map. Oh well it's only 10 minuets drive from here.
I start the car, why isn't the car starting I hiss, annoyed. What a day! I sigh in frustration. It's my first day at school, I can't afford to be late.
Shit! It's already 09:00, and school starts at 08:45. I'm so dead, late on my first day.
The school is just a few blocks away from here, I will just have to walk to school and I'm already late.
I reach the school and the first thing i see is Xavier Comets High School, written on a big white board.
Wow this is a big school I mutter. Well I'm already late I think I should go to the office first .
I don't even know where the office is, god why me, aghhh! Hopefully I see a guard and I ask him, he guides me to the principles office. I read something written like the principles office, Mr Williams.
I knock, Come in! I heard a man's voice. I enter and see a man in his later 30s, I assume. He is wearing a tuxedo and he looks at me like he wants to say what the fuck are you doing here at this time"
Hopefully he didn't say that instead asked me why I was late on my first day of school. I told him about the breakdown.
Miss kinsley he barked, this is your first time so I will let you go, but it won't work next time.
Here is your timetable, go for your next class he said looking angry. Jeez! Looks like he is in a bad mood today. I guess he woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Mr William's is a nice man I think while looking at my timetable.
I look at it and sigh in frustration I have math now agh this is so not done.
I don't like math at all. It's fun only if you understand it but, anyways I don't even know where the classroom is.
I walk through the corridor and teens walking past me look at me as if I m a ghost. Oh my god what kind of people are they ? They acting as if they have never seen a human being before!
Excuse me, could you please guide me to where the next math session is," I said, asking a blonde teen who seemed to be my age.
Are you new here she said, while playing with her hair. Yeah it's my first day I said looking at her.
I asked her name. Stella Allison. Isn't my name cool? she asked me. Yes very, I replied calmly. Stella was so excited to meet me, I could tell from her face.
I return saying my name is Alaina Kinsley.
