Arianna's POV

I sigh as I walk to my 'home'. I actually live in the orphanage in Coast City. Yup! Green Lantern we protects us. It's pretty cool if ya ask me. I hum as I walk. Unknown to everyone, except the kids at the orphanage, the lady in charge of the orphanage only cares about money. She doesn't care about the kids. I'm the oldest as 16. The younger kids get adopted quicker than me. Everyone looks up to me and I can't let them down. I have a job, at the library, so I bring some books that I borrow from the library to read to the kids. It's a good pay. I get $10 a hour and I have been doing this job since I was 10. So I have around $34,560 dollars hidden from the lady in charge of the orphanage. Her name is Ms. Walker. I rub my right arm as I look at the scar that she gave me. It goes from the back of my right shoulder, wrap around my arm and end at the back at my hand with a star to top it off. Yup...ya can see the scar as clear as day. I'm not sure what to think about it. I sigh as I get to the orphanage. I walk in as I hear people talking in the living room. Some more people to adopt the younger kids. I have been here since I was 6 and I still haven been adopted.

"And who is this," the woman ask as I walk in.

"Oh. That's Arianna," Ms. Walker tells them.

"It's nice to meet ya," I tell 'em as I wave.

"The same here. How old are you," the man ask.

"I'm 16. I have been here since I was 6. I am the oldest and I help Ms. Walker take care of the younger children when she is busy cooking," I tell the couple as they nod their head. "I better get dinner ready so that you can talk."

"Good idea," Ms. Walker tells me as I head to the kitchen.

Why do I have ta act like this? It's not like I'm gonna get adopted.

Hal's POV

I sit at the Justice League meeting as we talk about the Young Justice team.

"They should have a Green Lantern. Hal..John, are there any Green Lantern that is a teenager?"

"Nope," We say at the same time.

"Any other Lantern," Superman ask.

"Nope."

Batman sigh.

"Alright. What else do we need to talk about?"

Arianna's POV

I hum as I cook. I start to sing Home by Gabrielle Aplin. I dance around as I cook the spaghetti. Unknowing to me, the couple are watching me dance. Some of the younger kids come and we dance and sing as I cook. Soon enough the food was done and I put them on the ten plates set out. One for me and Ms. Walker and the other 8 for the children. I hand the children their plate as they say thanks and sit down to eat. I hum as I eat. I hear the couple leave as Ms. Walker comes in and take her plate. She look in to see that there is no leftovers.

"Go robbed after you are done," she says sternly as she walks away.

"Can you sing us a song," Molly, the youngest ask me.

"Sure."

"Will I be adopted," Ken ask me.

He is the second longest being here. He is 10 and got here 5 years ago.

"Of course. Though everything seams dark with no light, hope can never be killed. And since ya can never kill hope, there is light. No matter how small, it is there," I tell the children as I smile. "And I know all of ya will get adopted. I'm sure of it!"

They all smile as we finish eating. I clean and put the dishes away and head to get my guitar to play them a song. I strum my guitar as I start to sing Battle Scars by Paradise Fear. After I finished I got the kids to bed, then go to bed myself. I close my eyes as I fall asleep.
