/The rings is Arianna's ring for the Blue Lantern Core/

Arianna's POV

I wake up to Ms. Walker tearing the shades off of my small window. I live in the attic, but I don't care.

"Get up," she says as she leaves.

I sigh as I get up and dress for school. It's the Friday before the weekend. We have Monday off to celebrate Green Lantern for protecting us. I hum as I get my backpack on and grab my guitar. I head down as I leave. I never say goodbye as I walk to school. I hum as I walk to school. I go to the local school about 10 blocks away.

"Hey Orphan," someone calls as I turn to see the school bully walking up to me. "You think your so smart and tough? Fight me."

I shake my head as I look at him.

"No. I would rather go to school in peace."

"And why that? You don't belong here."

"I do belong here. We all belong somewhere. I don't belong to your group but I belong here."

He laugh as I walk into the school. I sigh as I get to my locker. I get picked on because I'm the only Orphan that goes to school here. Everyone thinks I'm a disease, that I don't have a place in society. But I do. I know I do belong and I hope they can figure that out soon. Hope is stronger than fear. I know that. i fear about being alone, but I'm not. I hold hope in my heart, because you can never destroy it. I place my things away as I head to the cafeteria. I look around and smile as I hum a song. I find my hope and light in who I am. What I love to do and who I am on the inside. The teachers let me stay in the music room on Fridays, since I get all of my work done and I am ahead of everyone else. I head there as I hum. I open the door as I close it behind me and get my guitar out. I strum a chord as I start to play Battlefield.

/The song Arianna is playing/

I sing my heart out as I play the song. I play the last chord as I hear someone clapping.

"Not bad. It helps you keep your hope. Right," someone ask as I turn and gasp to see a lantern there.

Instead of being green he is blue.

"My name is Saint Walker. I am the first Blue Lantern. And I want you to join us."

"What?! Why? I'm just an Orphan," I tell him.

"Who hold hope in her heart. You are perfect for the Blue Lantern Corps," he tells me.

I look at him then around me as I smile.

"Can't believe I'm doing this..but sure! Let's be a Blue Lantern."

He smiles as I hold my guitar case as we head off to who knows where.
