what is that noise. I struggle to open my eye's it feel's as if they've been glued shut I try and fight against the darkness but I just cant over come it and every thing drifts away again

" come on love, I need you to wake up, I cant lose you when I just found you."

finally having the strength to open my eye, a bright light blinds me, I whimper and shut my eyes again, " someone turn the light down now! " I hear ryder yell at someone. when the light is finally

turned down I can open my eyes again with out the pain. seeing ryder for the first time in I don't even know how long, I try sitting up and reaching for him needing his touch, but he pushes me back down

" don't try and move your going to be in a lot of pain, moving will just make it worse " he says

"i " I tried to speak but my mouth is so dry I can't talk. he must see that I'm having trouble talking and go's over to the table by the end of my bed and fills up a little plastic cup with water he comes back and holds it to my lips I try and grab it from him but he shakes his head at me, after downing the cup of water I try and talk again this time getting the words out of my mouth " what happened. are Jackson and sam okay?"

" they are fine" he says " why do you seem angry?" I ask

" are you seriously asking me that? you could have gotten killed. why didn't you go with your brother "

" I had to make sure they were okay, sam is pregnant ryder I couldn't have her get hurt, id rather be the one to be torn apart rather then having her or my brother get hurt or worse"

" and what about me huh? what would have happened if I were to lose my mate the same day I got you. your mine your not allowed to die on me, not now not ever "

I look up at him and I can see tears starting to leak down his face. not caring about the pain, I sit up and pull him to me not being able to stand seeing him like this he may be a hard headed jackass to everyone else but to me he's a big softie. he wraps his arms around me we both let out a sigh as the calm from one another's touch sinks in.

" its okay baby I'm fine I'm just a bit banged up that's all it will heal,"

I try and sooth him but he just nods his head I can tell get still upset and angry " who did this to you Jessie was it a rouge?" he asked, I guess I have to tell him the story now.

" I-it was alpha rick he attacked I had heard a few twigs snap and a low growl, so I told Jackson to take sam and run he didn't want to leave me but I made him and when they finally left I went the other way hoping to lead him away from them, he said that he was going to hurt everyone I loved, then he band me from the pack."

" I'm going to fucking kill him! how dare he touch what is mine he will pay for what he did"

" no this is what he wants" " I don't care, he hurt you and he has to pay for that"
