chapter 1- stupid

Its been weeks into the trainees, and you encourage Bertholdt to confess to Annie."b-but w-what if she rejects me?" He stutters. You roll your eyes,"how can she not?" You have to stop yourself from calling him handsome. You had a crush on him for a long time before the trainees. You have been friends since you guys were 10. "You never know, she could like you and then later in life you will wish you confessed." You say to him. But he doesn't say anything. You snap your fingers in front of him,"Bertholdt? BERTHOLDT." You say and he shakes his head,"uh? What? Yea yea..." He blushes. You sigh and turn to your food.

You wish you could confess to him but no one would like you in your opinon..."I'm sorry..." Bertholdt says to you. You let out anoher sigh,"don't be, how about I just tell her?" You ask and heat goes across his face,"NO!" He yells at you making everyone turn to You guys. Even Annie. His blush increases from Annie staring at him. "No..." He says quietly. Everyone turns to their business and you touch his shoulder,"maybe-" "no." He cuts you off."its stupid that I even like someone..." He says. You nod and get up,"I'm going to bed, and its not stupid that you like someone. it's natural, we get feelings." you say and walk to your dorm  before he could even protest. you walk fast with tears streaming down your cheeks.

You collaps on your bed and sob loudly into it to muffle the whimpers and hiccups. Then a knock comes at your door,"(f/n)?" It was reiner. "Y-yea?" You hiccup. Then you hear him sigh,"(n/n)." He sings.

you laugh a little,"come i-in" you sniff. He opens the door and he hugs you."what is it? Was it berholdt?" He knew your love for bertholt and never told anyone but knew bertholdts feelings for Annie. You trusted him like he was your brother, but you wanted more with bertholt.

"yes..." You say containing a sob.

He hugs you tighter,"he needs to confess," says Reiner, and you smile,"confess to Krista." You say. His breath hitches."W-well..." He says. You laugh,"I'll do it for you." You laugh again. He almost chokes,

"No!" He blushes."then confess." you cross your arms.

"fine, I will if you will." He says. You swollow hard."i-i can't just yet though..."you stutter. He chuckles,"alright, come on, we got training." He helps you up. You smile, wipe the tears, and walk out.

Annie waves You over. you smile a bit when you see Bertholdt give a small wave to you. Reiner sits next to you and Krista sits on the other side. Reiner blushes as he stares at Krista. you smirk and elbow Rainer,"go ahead and ask her is she will go on a date with you, ymir isn't here, so go on." You say and he shakes his head.

A bead of sweat runs down his temple. You smile devilishly,"fine, I'll do it." you say and he chokes on his drink, "hey-Krista" Reiner puts a hand over your mouth so no one hears you. You laugh and lick his hand,"why you little-" Reiner puts you in head lock and digs his knuckles in your skull. You laugh and he picks you up and puts you over his shoulder.

"no! I'm sorry!" You laugh while kicking your legs.

It was time to go outside anyway. Everyone chuckles when they see you, Krista giggles a little, "he is so funny with (f/n)!" Reiner blushes and throws you in a lake. You come up and gasp for air,"hey!" you yell. Reiner kneels down,"hey," he waves.

You giggle,"alright help me up." You say. He holds out a hand,"okay- whoa!" you grab his hand and shove off the dock with your feet with all your strength and pull him in. He was off guard. He laughs and people jump in. both of you splash water on each other. You see Bertholdt swimming toward annie, and they swim to you and reiner,"time for the meeting." Reiner says in a hushed voice.

You knew that they were the female, armored, and colossal titan and you kept it a secret. You weren't a titan shifter but they trusted you. You did pay much attention what they talked about because you wouldn't be in their plans or ever be since you couldn't be much help. You sigh and lean against a tree."(f/n), you look tired...maybe you should go rest." Reiner says. You nod and bow your head so they won't see your tears.

You sob silently in your pillow. You do this every night...because you wish bertholdt knew. But he may never know.
