Chapter 9 Unexpected Guest

—Y/N POV—

Nishinoya!?!?!

"Mou!!!! Noya! What are you doing here??" I yelled surprised.

"Uh I kinda just saw you and got excited so I ran to you and— who's that?" Nishinoya asked as he pointed to Yamada.

"Oh that's my other cousin Nakamura Yamada." I explained.

"Yo! Eh Y/N you never told me you got a boyfriend already!!" Yamada shouted with glee making me and Nishinoya blush ruby red.

"It's not like tha—" I was cut off.

"Ne Nishinoya was it? Come on you can come with us to visit my school and watch me play basketball!!" Yamada happily said while unlocking the right back seat car door.

"Y/N go keep you boyfriend company in the back I'll be fine up here." Yamada continued a bit too happy.

"Eh!?! Fine." I said as I reluctantly dragged myself to the back where Noya had already sat down on the far left side leaving me to sit on the right.

"YOSH!!! LETS GO!!!" And with that Yamada stomped on the gas pedal and drove off to Seirin High. Yamada had been driving like a mad man which made have to balance myself off by putting down my left hand beside me. Nishinoya must've gotten the same idea to balance himself out and placed his hand directly on mine. He flinched and retracted his hand turning his brightly flushed face away. I sat there looking down at my shoes blushing because of the super sudden contact. Yamada eyed me in the mirror with a devious smirk. She then took a sharp turn causing me to slide next to Nishinoya. I thought to myself, "Ugh this teasing is never going to stop!!"

-Nishinoya POV-

I was still a little shaken up by being so close to Y/N and the fact that her cousin was driving like a maniac. Damn it why did I go along with Tanaka's plan ugh I'm so stupid. Suddenly the car took a sharp turn causing Y/N to slide next to me. She yelped and I immediately noticed she wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Without thinking I snaked my arm around her waist pulling her to my chest and holding her tightly. I was expecting her to pull back but she held on, I guess she realized that she didn't have a seatbelt and this was the safest place right now since a maniac wass driving the car.

The fact that I was hugging her made me flush and look out the window. Man I wish this moment would last forever. She smells so good. Her H/C hair is so pretty and flowing. Her body-- OK NO STOP MIND.

-Y/N POV-

After 5 minutes of Nishinoya protecting me while Yamada was driving the car we finally arrived at Yamada's school. She quickly got out of the car with Nishinoya and I following not far behind.

"Ugh I feel dizzy." I stated rubbing my temples.

"Do you want some pain relievers?" Nishinoya asked worried.

"No it's ok I think I'll manage. Thank you though." I shot him a warm smile. He returned the smile and looked straight ahead at the school.

Noya and I walked into the school to be greeted by a basketball trophy case. Every shelf had gold medals and gold trophy's. I was shocked when I saw Yamada's name on the most recent medal. Nishinoya on the other hand was dazzled by the shining gold that reflected the light from the window making the case look majestic.

We both walked into the jump to be greeted by the smell of sweat and hard work as well as the sound on cheers, ball dribbling and occasionally balls hitting the rim and backboard. I walked along the back searching for a free seat on the bleachers. I had found a seat that was relatively close to the front but not to close to get a ball thrown at you. I signalled Noya to come and seat with me. He showed me and cheeky grin and we both concentrated on the game.

Both Noya and I didn't really know much about basketball beside the fact that you shoot the ball into the hoop.

25 minutes into the game I felt a dizzy spell hit me again. I told Noya that I needed to use the washroom. He offered to escort me but I declined saying it was fine. As I stood to get up a ball flew at me. I froze on the spot silently panicked I didn't know what to do everything seemed to go in slow motion. I shut my eyes waiting for the impact but it never came. When I opened my eyes I saw Nishinoya receive the basketball perfectly.

"NOYA!!! Are you ok?!?!?" I exclaimed panicking about to start doing CPR.

"Ahaha basketballs are harder then I expected--WOAH what are you doing I'm not dying I don't need CPR!" Noya said tearing up from laughter.

I pouted, "I'm not good with injured people."

"Aha your to cute." He said laughing with his bruised arms behind his head.

I blushed but noticed his bruised arms. I quickly took one of his arms into my hands and gently rubbed it.

"Sorry you had to injure yourself for me." I mumbled embarrassed.

"Don't worry about it. I'll always protect you!" He gave me a soothingly warm closed eye smile. I returned his smile with a small yet equally as warm smile.
