During Evelyn and Zuri's first training session together, they successfully destroyed most of the room they chose to practice in. Luckily though, they did discover that their strengths and weaknesses were exactly opposite. Evelyn was fantastic at weaponizing her magic and using it to fight enemies. Zuri, on the other hand, had perfected the art and beauty of magic, and had been working on creating and healing things with it. Neither of them were very good at the other's area of expertise.

Crystal greeted Evelyn on her way out with Zuri. "What are you guys doing in there? Sounds a little wild."

"Everything you guys do sounds wild," Evelyn replied. "And you're back soon."

"Yeah. Didn't take long to find what I needed to."

"Great. So tell me about it. We already sent troops home with the governor, along with a letter to the king."

"I know. I think you need to send another letter after them... to the governor, not the king."

"Why not the king?"

"He's weak and unreliable. He's not a bad man, just too concerned with protecting himself. The governor wants to make things better. He'll tell our soldiers what they need to know despite what it may cost him personally."

"What do they need to know?"

"The leaders of the worst gangs, the main meeting areas, best places to take the most prisoners at once... oh, and..." she held up a roll of paper. "these plans might be useful." She smiled, thoroughly pleased with herself. "When and where they're going to strike next, written out in great detail."

"You're wonderful Crystal."

"I know."

Evelyn nodded towards the door. "Come up to my rooms with me and we'll get the letter written and sent out right away."

"Yes ma'am."
