Prologue

People are ordinary.

No matter what the stories portray, there is no superheros. No one that can save the world with superpowers.

There are only regular people. People who have to go through life normally, have to figure out life without anything but their own willpower.

And it's harder. A lot harder, to be able to go through life normally. After reading the books it makes it seem like anything is possible, but it isn't.

This story revolves around five boys. Five boys trying to find their way by being ordinary.

Zayn Malik loved to write. So much that he's left his whole life behind, practically missing out on his teenage years. It wasn't always like this, he remembered when he was a popular guy at school. After a therapeutic chain of events, he ended up as a shut out. He never lets anyone in, including his aunt and uncle- who he now has to live with. Summer before graduating comes around, and he's stuck staying at his aunt and uncle's beach house... again. It may be different this time, though, for he meets a shut out just as himself. She was looking for adventures, and he was just the person to have them with.

Harry Styles looked through life with a lens. He was the person in school you would find always having a camera around their neck, taking pictures of the most odd things. He would post them online, even getting good reviews at times. When his sister and her husband buy a house down at the beach for the summer, he begs them for him to go along. Though reluctant, they finally agree. Once he is down, he takes pictures of everything. Including: the mysterious girl who he finds dancing on the beach every night.

Louis Tomlinson will never give up. Even though over and over again he's been told the same thing, he never lets it get to him. He has cancer. People look at him and feel pity, but all he sees is opportunity. Since young ages he has wanted to be an actor. To be on big screens, or even big stages. He loves the spotlight, and he's deciding not to let cancer take over him. He's a survivor, but not everyone else thinks like he does. Especially the whole of people in the group session he has to sit through every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday night. He can smile through everything, but not everyone else can. And Louis doesn't want to be the only one smiling in a group of sad people.

Niall Horan is popular. He was so sick of that label, of the label that he got from that. He was an actual person, an actual person who had secrets of his own. What would people think, though, if they saw his paintings he did in his free time? He wasn't willing to find out, so he hid them. Niall figured that he had to hide something from the people who thought they knew him. He was never expecting for someone from his school to actually find them.

Liam Payne was a bully. There would be more, that is, if he allowed more. He never cared about anything but sports and being the best. Well, he probably should have cared more about grades. Considering with his grades now there would be no way he could even think of graduating and getting the scolarship he wanted, he has to go to summer school. He finds people there that he never even existed, let alone went to the same school as him. Outcasts, losers, freaks, and none of his friends. How could all of his friends hadn't of failed besides him? He's stuck there for the rest of the summer, around the people that he had managed to avoid before.
