What's This Feeling?

The day for the dark Hedgehog started off normally. Nothing weird happened to the town he was staying in for now. He's working undercover to reveal a dark secret from his enemy/friend,  one he calls faker named Sonic the Hedgehog. He runs his fingers through his midnight colored fur with red streaks on the sides. His name is Shadow the Hedgehog, Ultimate Lifeform. He sits in long grass on a small hill as he sparks up a cigarette as he looks at the city in front of him silently. He had a job to do. Snoop around for G.U.N. to get new information about the blue menace and his dark hidden secrets. He takes a few puffs of his cigarette and takes it out by stepping on it gently as he sighs softly, "Today is so boring and usual. Like everyday of this horrid thing called life." He thinks to himself. His ears perk up lightly as he hears soft crying. He stands up and wipes the dirt off his skinny black ripped jeans as he straightens his black leather jacket and he walks to find out who was crying. He looks around in the half empty park and spots a pink Hedgehog girl crying in her hands, "Hmm what's her problem? It feels like I know her but where did I meet her?" He thinks to himself as he slowly walks up to the poor girl. She had long pink fur, red heart earrings in her dainty small ears, she was wearing a red dress with purple leggings and red and white boots. Her wrists were covered in huge gold rings and her gloves were white and fingerless type of gloves with purple tape wrapped up to her elbows. He stands in front of her and tilts his head to the side and softly days,  "Miss, are you alright? It's dangerous to be out this late." The girl looks up at him shocked. She had watery bright jade green eyes and a cute nose. She wipes her tears away, "S-sorry I list track of time." She whimpers. Shadow shakes his head sighing, "What's wrong? By the way, I'm Shadow. Shadow the Hedgehog." He sits beside her. The girl nods softly as she sits up straight, "I know who you are. Don't you remember me? You made me that promise on that day you saved us from your so called father." She looks at him. Shadow blinks as he rubs his head getting flash backs. He remembered. Amy Rose. The one he promised. He smiles at her gently, "I remember now, Rose. I'm sorry but it has been so long we seen each other. But why are you crying?" Amy shrugs and looks at her hands. She was holding a heart shaped box, "Well... Sonic didn't accept my love for him again. I know I'm annoying to him but I love him." Her eyes water as Shadow rubs her back reassuringly, feeling angry at the fake Hedgehog, "If he doesn't feel the same way, move on." His heart fluttered at his words. He might have a chance to be with her. The feelings hidden away from his thoughts came to life again. Amy sniffles as she blows her nose in her handkerchief, "I try move on but when I date someone else, I see Sonic's face. But I know he only likes me as his friend. It's hard to accept that so....I don't know what to do." She cries in her hands. Shadow wraps his arm around her instinctively, "You don't need that faker. Clearly he doesn't love you but..." His heart beat loudly in his ears as his cheeks turn pink, "What am I saying? Do I really have feelings like this towards her?" He thinks to himself as he holds Amy in a tight hug. Amy whimpers as she slowly stops crying, feeling oddly safe and warm in Shadow's arms. She looks up at him as she smiles softly, "It's getting late. I really need to get home now, Shadow. Thank you. For listening." She kisses his cheek. Shadow blushes brighter as he smiles at her softly, "Anytime, Rose. You know I'll always be here for you." He whispers in her ear with a low voice, sending shivers down Amy's back. She blushes as she stands up, "Can you walk me home? You did say it's dangerous at night." She giggles. Shadow ears perk up at her cute giggling and he nods as he stands up and holds her arm out at her, "Shall we?" Amy gladly loops her arm in his as they both start walking holding each other's arms. Shadow looks around as they pass buildings and alleyways. The coast was clear of stalkers and the blue faker. Amy had million thoughts running through her head. Shadow had them too trying to figure out what this feeling towards her was. As they got to Amy's house, Shadow stops and smiles down at her, "You'll be ok Rose?" He holds her hands in his. Amy blushes as she holds his hands back and nods softly, "Yes I'll be ok, Shadow. Thank you again." She tippy toes up to shadow as she kisses his nose as she giggles and skips to her front door. Shadow blushes at her kiss as he rubs his nose smiling, feeling a fluttery warm feeling in his stomach, "Goodnight, Rose." He says as he waves gently at her. Amy waves back shyly, "Night Shadow." She blows him a kiss sweetly as she smiles and walks in her house closing the door. Shadow brightly blushes. He chuckles softly and walks towards his home smiling softly, "This feeling...must be love, right?" He thought as he rubs his nose and cheek where Amy kissed him. He looks up at the moon and shining stars smiling up at them, "This feeling...the professor had said I didn't have any feelings built in me but he's wrong. I do have feelings for Rose. Like I had feelings for Maria. Rest in peace, Maria. Hope you're happy that I finally found a chance in love." He was holding the heart shaped box that was meant for faker. He crushes it in half as he sets it on fire with his chaos spear, "The faker will never have a chance with my Rose." He growls softly as he walks into his apartment. "Faker never really loved her. I know he's with some squirrel princess. Disgusting really. I need to find him too. His dark powers can end this town. And I'll put a stop to it. " He lays on his bed on his back with his hands behind his head as he looks up at his ceiling, "Rose, soon I will confess my love for you. But slowly. I had questions about this feeling before. I still have them. What's this feeling? I know my feelings for you are true, filled with love, truth and care. I know you'll get over faker and move on. But please move on with me. I'm nothing like faker. I will never make you sad or cry. I'll fill your ears with love, truthfulness and care. Along to your sweet heart and mind. I will never play with your feelings. I'm always here for you." He smiles as he closes his eyes, "I love you, Rose. I'll tell you soon." He falls asleep with a small smile on his face.
