Nozomi, a shrine maiden, wanted to know who (or what) secretly helps her out in her duties. What would she do if she found out that it was a kitsune who was helping her all along? (very short one-shot)
Nozomi, the local shrine maiden, offered some sweets to the playful fox god that lurks near their shrine.
The fox god is a little playful, but she helps out the shrine maiden secretly, like keeping out small animals that enter the temple, and sometimes, Nozomi is just surprised that the outside of the shrine is swept clean.
She always wondered who or even what was helping her out. One time, she asked the elders of the shrine about this good entity. They told Nozomi about the kitsune, the fox god who guides the shrine. It was not a major god, so it was unknown to most shrine worshippers. They also informed her about a small shrine dedicated out of respect to the kitsune, it was very small, and its actual location is unknown.
The shrine maiden could not see the kitsune, but she offered something anyway. She placed some Japanese sweets near the small shrine located at the farthest side of the temple grounds which she found a long time ago. She believed it was the fox god's. She waited a little and offered some prayer.
The kitsune, in truth, was watching the maiden. The miko was indeed beautiful, and the kitsune was smitten the first time she saw her, and started secretly helping her out, probably because it wanted Nozomi to notice her.
Sitting on top of the small shrine, the kitsune reached out to the food offered.

But instead, she slipped and fell. Instead of reaching the food, she reached something soft and fluffy. Looking at her hand, she realized she was groping the maiden's breast.
Nozomi, surprised, wondered what was the heavy thing on her, especially on her chest. The kitsune was flustered, but finally got the resolve to show herself.
Nozomi was surprised when a beatiful blonde kitsune appeared before her. So it was her! The kitsune that helps her out secretly. Both were nervous and fell silent, but both were also mesmerized by each other's beauty. The shrine maiden finally took up her courage and asked, "Would you like to come inside the temple with me? I have more sweets for you." She smiled gently. The kitsune gladly agreed and took the miko's hand while they walked towards the temple.
