RICHARD'S POV
Mr. Vargas, the dean of the university where my wife was working at, had invited me for lunch with them. When I saw my Dawn walking inside the venue, I couldn't help but stare at her in awe.
Though she got thinner that before, she never failed to mesmerized me.
She was wearing a royal blue formal attire. My favorite color. Similar color with the suit I was wearing.
I was tailing her while she was putting foods on her plate.
"Are you getting fussy with the foods now?" She jumped in surprised and turned to me.
"Good afternoon, sir!" She responded firmly.
"Don't call me sir. You know I hate it lalo na kung galing sa bibig mo."
People were staring at us probably wondering why I raised my voice.
Then suddenly, four women swarmed towards me and introduced themselves. I returned a smile and handshakes but I was not interested of meeting them less memorizing their names.
I excused myself and walked towards Mr. Vargas.
"Mr. Gomez, thank you for joining us. It's our pleasure having you here."
"Thank you. Mr. Vargas, I want to walk around the school and Dawn offered to help me. Can we excuse ourselves now?" I wasn't asking for permission. I didn't need it. I just told him so he would be the one to lead me to Dawn. I knew she won't refuse a favor from the dean himself.
"Dawn? Ah, Dawn! Miss Zulueta. Of course. I'll lead your way to her, Mr. Gomez."
I followed him. I adjusted my suit and brushed my hair with my fingers. I had to impress her.
She was sitting at the far end of the table area munching a cupcake and examining it joyfully. Cute.
"Miss Zulueta, thank you for your generosity. Mr. Gomez said you offered to give him a tour around the school. I guess you don't have classes anymore this afternoon, can you possibly do it after lunch?" Mr. Vargas said ecstatically.
She looked so shock. She turned her gaze to me. Her eyes wanted to protest, I knew.
"Sure, no problem sir." She sounded hesitant. I had to endure her deadly stares.
"Lead the way Miss Zulueta."
She'll gonna kill me for sure.
We went walking around the campus. I could feel the awkwardness and she was trying to distance herself from my body.
"Thank you for being part of the university sir!" Her gesture was very professional.
"It's always been my pleasure. Miss Zulueta..." I was about to say something but her phone suddenly rang.
She excused herself and walked to one corner few meters away from me.
She looked so distraught while talking on the phone. I walked towards her but she might hadn't noticed.
"Hello baby? Mommy is here."
My world suddenly stopped. Baby? She has a son? Did the private investigator miss this information?
"Uuwi na si mommy, okay? Please don't cry honey." She said sweetly.
"I'll be heading home now. Salamat, Dan!" She said before drooping the call.
"Who's baby you are talking to?"
"It's none of your business Mr. Gomez." She angrily responded and before she could walk away I grabbed her wrist.
