Mason's P.O.V
"...And you ended up in the hospital." I finish explaining. We've been here for a good fifteen minuets. But still have about ten minuets. We have to figure out what to do about dad.
"How do you feel about faking our deaths?" I ask him. He looks at me and blinks once.
"We're still going to Hermosa right?" He asks and I laugh.
"Yeah. We're still going to Hermosa." I say. I think that's a yes. I tell the doc to come here.
"He died okay? He didn't make it. I took his body and had it cremated and then... I don't really know about me. Aight. You feel really bad and hope that they catch our father for this. You're very angry at our father. I'll figure out something out for me but you haven't seen me since you told me he died. Now your gonna sneak us outta here at the end of the day when there's just a few nurses and the janitor? Your also going to eliminate any security tapes. Okay?" I demand and the man looks at me and tilts his head
"Why?" He asks. Even though normally I wouldn't answer that question, He might help us and I guess he deserves to know.
"Because if we're reported dead, our father won't try to kill us anymore." I explain. His eyes widen and he nods.
"Thank you. Your helping us a great deal right now." I say.
--------------------------------------------------time skip--------------------------------------------------
He motions for us to follow him to his office. I pick up Mikey and help him stand. His one leg is held in the air. I just now realized how hard it is going to be for him to walk right now.
Mason
Michael
(Obviously that's not them right now but them in a picture. I have no clue why I chose RIGHT NOW to put up the pictures but whatever.)
I wrap one arm around his shoulders and we begin to walk. The doctor takes us out back and opens the door for us.
"Thank you so much."
"No problem. Now if you don't mind... I have tapes to erase and paperwork to fill out." He says and flashes a smile. I mouth a quick 'thank you' and then turn around and walk with Michael.(More like a hobble but you get it) It's been a lot these past couple days for everyone. I'm absolutely exhausted and I think it's starting to get to me. I have to take care of Michael first though. I have to put him before everything else. Even if I get hurt in the process. He deserves more than what he's been served.(Five star restaurants bitches!!!) I just hope he doesn't get hurt for a while. I'll take that up with the author later.
Michael's P.O.V
Everything hurts, but I don't want to tell Mason. I'm already a burden. He deserves more. I'll just annoy him more. I can tell he's already stressed about the situation. I feel lop-sided and it's getting kind of hard to walk. But I'll be fine. Right?
Mason's P.O.V
I look at Michael and he looks almost... worried.
"Are you okay? Do we need to sit down for a minute?" I ask him. He furrows his eyebrows together but doesn't answer.
"Michael? Hello? Anyone home?" I ask half serious. He starts slowing down and his footsteps are getting heavier. Oh god. What's happening?
"Michael!?!" I scream. He falls to his knees. Tears start to prick my eyes. He slowly loses consciousness. I pick him up and run back to the hospital. I swing open the door and find the doctor lying dead on the floor. My father. He's here. In the hospital. I turn around and here my father scream
"Mason! Mason when I find you I'll kill you and your no-good brother! If he's even still alive! That bullet was poisoned. Do you here me!?! You both are going to die!" My heart starts racing. Michael's poisoned!? He is next to that door. If I go down to the door he is in the hallway. I won't make it carrying Michael. Elevator. Stairs are way to slow. A three year old could catch me, and then make sure I die a slow and painful death because that three year old, He's my psychotic dad. The elevator is still risky but, I need to get upstairs ASAP. I start my way to the elevator. It's all the way at the end of the hallway. What the fuck is wrong with this hospital? Why is the elevator at the end? Whatever. To hell with the author. Fuck you too buddy. Oh hell nah. She's talking to me. You're an asshole. Okay I need to focus. I might die if I don't. Point taken. I start "Dashing" down the hallway with my brother in my arms. I press the 'up' button and the door and immediately the door opens. I press 2 so that way I won't be dead ended if my father finds me.
"Mason! There ya are buddy!" I hear my dad shout. Dammit. I should've just shut up.
"Mason?W-What's happening?" I hear a voice lightly say.
"We're about to die. Dad found us...again. Can you stand?" I say and he sickly and slowly shakes his head. Dad's eyes widen when he sees Michael and I flip him off as the door closes. The soothing elevator music rings in my ears but has no effect. I still feel like- Shut the fuck up! Don't make me jinx you again! You wouldn't. Test me. ugh! Fine! Change the story to third person for the rest of the chapter then! Nope! It's Michael's P.O.V. Heads up! The doors about to open.
Michael's P.O.V
As the door opens My heart begins to beat faster. I can see straight now. I'm apparently poisoned. Damn, kms. I climb out of Mason's arms and he goes first. wobble out after him, and seriously thought I was about to die but the hallways were empty. And quiet. But I still can't let him know.
Third person ending
Mason looks around unknowingly. Both of the boys travel down the hallway and each step makes the air a little tenser than before.
"Just...Stay here and lemme go see if it's clear." Mason says cautiously, dreading the leave but still wants to make sure his brother's safe. As he leaves, Michael's snatched. A rag shoved over his mouth and nose. The horrible smell entering his nose. He gags and can already feel himself losing consciousness. He looks at the corner of the hallway where Mason left and let out a muffled scream. It blurs and then goes black. Mason looks around in front of him, and then very slowly turns the corner.
"What the hell is going on?" He mutters, not hearing his brother's cries.
A/N
So, Your welcome for the cliffhanger. I am very well aware that I'm a horrible person. :)
