I sat in my room, somewhat depressed at the sight I had seen.
another one.
This time, I had no 'bestie' to protect me from this sick murder game.
The corpses of Angie and Tenko laid in the cafeteria, under inspection by Shuuichi and the others.
I can't show my face....
I'M a prime suspect....
These thoughts rattled through my empty head, and I finally put an end to it.
"I'm not the culprit! I'M NOT THE CULPRIT!"
The screaming started to make my voice hoarse than it was, and the salty tears spilling out of my eyes, started to fill my senses.
I wiped these tears away, and after calming myself down, stepped out of my room.
Walking briskly, I reached the cafeteria, and heard a familiar voice.
"(Y/N)-chan! Are you ok?" Kiibo asked, his voice filled with hurt and artificial emotion.
Seeing him concerned at my well-being was, heart-touching.
"You look like you've been crying." I looked into his eyes,my tears welling up again.
I quickly attempted to cover my face, but was stopped.
"Tell me what's wrong. Please, I want to help you." His voice showed concern that his eyes could not.
Lowering my hands, I apologized.
"I-I'm sorry... Can we talk in the hallway?" My voice was shaky, fragile like a Quetzal's feather.
He simply nodded, and we stepped outside of the lunchroom.
"Now, please tell my why you're crying, (Y/N)." He put his hand on my shoulder, and I felt quite guilty.
"I-I'm sorry for troubling you... Kiibo." The tears started flowing further, faster than the Mississippi river.
"No, It's ok. Let's concern your feelings right now." Kiibo's words touched me deeply.
With no further explanation, I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly.
Welcoming the embrace, he seemed to figure out what had happened.
"They... They were your best friends, weren't they?"
I only sobbed harder at his words, and nodded.
"It'll all be over soon... ok?" He spoke softly, and started to pet my head.
Feeling a bit better, I loosened on the hug, and looked up.
"Are you ok now?" He spoke, smiling softly.
"I'm... fine." I replied, my voice strained and hoarse.
He stopped petting my head, and looked me in the eyes.
"I've wanted to tell you something for a long time, (Y/N)."
This sentence grabbed my attention.
"Go ahead, I'm listening." I patiently waited for him to speak.
"I don't know what this feeling is, but I think... I love you, (Y/N)"
Those words... I didn't know I wanted them until I heard them.
"But Kiibo, I-I thought you... couldn't love."
I raised the question that I already knew the answer to.
"But, (Y/N),"
Taking my hands in his he said,
"Not all love comes from a human heart."
