HOPE'S POV

Hope- 5'3, loves dance, black hair, green eyes, average sized, somewhat muscular, fun personality!

"Today is my birthday Nico I have been in this orphanage all my life! we can sneek out for a few hours... Pleaseeeee" "No it's to dangerous" Nico was now practically yelling at me! ME! his best friend. "I don't understand what could be SO dangerous for me i'm just a nobody from an orphanage" "Your much more than that Hope and don't you forget it!" "Fine then what do you want to do on MY birthday." "Welllll I have a surprise for you 😋" I could hear the excitement in Nico's voice! "What! Tell me tell me please!!!" "Well all I can tell you is that you will be out of this place forever"

I could not even wait all day, me and Nico did so many things but something was really weird. Nico kept taking me to Greek and Roman museums and trying to explain things about demigods and things like that. I can tell you this for sure that I know EVERYTHING there is to know about the Greeks and Romans.

Finally it was 7 and Nico and I were sneaking out as usual, Nico took me to this camp. He said this is where we will be living from now on. As soon as we entered we were surrounded by 7 other people. I was really confused on what was going on until the 7 who were Percy, Annabeth, Frank, Hazel, Jason, Piper and Leo explained everything to me. everything like being claimed and fighting monsters etc.

It was a lot to take in but I was doing okay. Since today I was turning 13 I should be claimed soon. I was having dinner at a table alone cause there were no other newbies when the most amazing thing happened a bunch of water surrounded me. I did not know what to do until I realized everyone was staring at met me. The water went away almost immediately and there was a sign over my head it was the sign for Poseidon the god of the Sea. It did not really surprise me since I love the water so much now I get why I can stay  underwater so long Percy even said he would teach me how to control water.
