The legend says the Gods would look down upon us with pity. Mortals were falling in love only to be crushed by their own silly hearts. The Gods wondered if there were a way for them to be happy once more. Their heads would be filled with notions that didn't exist. They were so intent on finding the perfect lover that they would forget to pray to the Gods who had created everything for them. From the land they walk on. To the sea's they sail upon. The Gods had soon became weak as the prays dwindled. The foolish mortals needed to remember who had made everything for them. The gods quickly became angry. Volcanoes would erupt, because of their fury. Thousands of ships were engulfed in the sea's waves, because of the revenge the Gods had once sought.

Through all the carnage one lone mortal had walked toward the Gods, offering a solution to the human's problem. So the mortals were able to pray to the Gods, and restore their power rather than wallow in the sadness of a broken heart. A necklace would be crafted for both partners. Each soulmate would be carrying a half, the other being born with the opposite so once they find the perfect fit. They would have at last found their other half. Children were and are to be born with their half of the necklace, taking the jewelry off will be considered a sin. One in which you will automatically be forever blocked from the Gods Gates of the Afterlife. Being forced to wander the Earth as a lost soul for eternity.

Ever since the magical power has been bestowed on both man and women it has been passed down genetically from generation to generation. Once your soulmate has been found, putting the necklace pieces together will heat up the closer together they become. Once put together as a whole the pieces create a blinding light; one that develops both mortals in the warmth and love that the Gods carry for each human on Earth. Therefore, the pieces will forever be bonded together.
