"That's not bland," said Ichiban. "It's normal."

"Huh... I like it. It sounds old-timey," said Shean leaning back.

There was something about this Shean guy that I really liked. I just couldn't put my finger on it.

"Well," started Sheon. "You're probably confused."

"I am," I said looking down at my feet. "I don't really remember anything. I don't even remember how I got here."

They all suspiciously looked at each other.

"What do you remember?" asked Ichiban.

"I... I remember... snow."

"That's it?" said Carmen crossing his legs.

"I also remember... um..."

It was several seconds before I spoke again.

"I also remember not looking like THIS! I remind myself of my mom."

Carmen smirked. Then spoke: "Well honey. You grew up. You grew up fine."

Sheon swatted Carmen in the face again with the newspaper.

They glared at each other.

"Stop fighting you two!" demanded Ichiban.

Sheon flipped her hair and straightened her posture. Carmen just folded his arms.

"Alice," started Shean. "We shouldn't really talk about this at the moment. I don't want her to get upset. We should have you meet the rest of our friends!"

"You mean your guy's friends," spat Carmen.

Shean rolled his eyes then stood up. While he was standing up, I quickly grabbed his arm.

"Woah, Alice. Calm down. Do you like me that much? I'm not going anywhere. I'm just calling for everyone else."

I blushed then immediately let go of him and covered my face.

"Charmer," said Ichiban.

"Hey Sherry, Rest, Alysse, come down!"

Shean sat back down next to me. My heart was beating very fast.

"What's wrong with me!?!" I mentally questioned myself. "There's just something about him that I like. Augh don't say that. You're a kid. He's super old!"

Removing my hands from my face, I felt a burst of cold air brush against my skin.

"Ah, it's freezing in here all of a sudden."

They all laughed.

"What's so funny?"

"That's what everyone says when they meet her," said Sheon.

"Her?" I questioned.

"Alysse," Carmen said.

I peeked over Shean's shoulder at the staircase. A pale girl with long white hair and blue eyes slowly walked down the stairs. I was stunned. Her skin was so white, like snow. Her eyes caught a glimpse of me. Her melancholy expression turned to happiness. She hurried down the stairs and over to all 5 of us.

"Oh no! Oh no, don't tell me it's true! A newborn! No, a new FRIEND! Hello!" she yelled shaking my hand. "I'm Alysse. Oh I love your long brown hair. It reminds me of a chocolate fountain; and your eyes! Oh what a magnificent shade of red. I would compare them to a sweet raspberry."

I couldn't help but smile to her bubbly personality.

"Thanks."

She jumped on the couch right next to Sheon and Ichiban.

"Anyone else?" I asked.

Shean nodded.

The next person to arrive was a simple boy with short curly brown hair and brown eyes. He walked down the stairs and held his hands out as if he was carrying someone. When he spoke, he didn't sound too enthused.

"Hi..."

That was it.

"Um, hello..."

He jolted his eyes towards the staircase, expecting something.

"That's Rest," said Carmen.

"Rest?"

"He never said his real name, so we just call him after a drug. He sure is one weird guy."

Before I could question Carmen, a high pitched voice was getting louder and louder. Just then a small girl with a black, hime-cut and blue eyes came sliding down the hand rail and landed into Rest's arms.

"Thanks hubby, you're the best," she cheered.

Her eyes shifted to me.

"Wooohoooo! A new friend. AUGH! Rest, why didn't you say anything. You're such a party pooper!" she wined repeatedly hitting Rest in the stomach.

After abusing her husband, she ran over to us and sat on a chair beside the couches.

"I'm Sherry. Oh GOSH it's been so long since we got a newborn. The last one was Carmen and he SUCKS! We were all like: Oh hi; then he was all like: Eyee by! He would just hit on Sheon and Alyss and that was NOT cool."

"Whatever pip-squeak," Carmen sighed.

"Boooo!"

"Hmm..." I said pressing my hand to my chin. "Is that everyone?"

"No," said Ichiban.

"Huron. He's out buying some stuff," said Shean. "He should be here any seco-"

Just then, a huge crash could be heard from behind me. I turned around to notice a gaping hole with rubble scattered everywhere with a VAN sitting in the middle of the living room.
