*Marcus Warner~ In The End*
He ran.
He ran as fast as his legs could take him, and when he felt that his legs were of no use to him; he used his wings. He had to stop him.
He had to keep him alive.Sweat poured from his body in pellets, making his brown hair stick to his forehead.
He had to stop him.
He had to keep him alive. And just when he thought his legs would fail him, he found him.
Leaning on the edge of the bridge above the river.
One push, one small slip up, and he would fall into the murky depths.
He called out his name," Jungkook!"
The pale, black-haired boy visibly tensed when hearing the familiar voice call his name, but showed no other sign that he had heard him.
"Jungkook, whatever you're about to do....don't." The brown haired boy breathed out, trying to casually walk up to his friend without setting him off.
"Taehyung, I thought you'd never come. I was afraid you'd miss seeing me off." Jungkook replied, smiling so wide at him that Taehyung's blood ran cold.
"Seeing you off? You're not going anywhere. You're staying here."
Jungkook laughed," I hate it here."
Taehyung shoved his hands in his pockets and walked closer to Jungkook," Yes, Seoul isn't that great a place. We can move to europe, we can travel France, Italy, you name it."
"No, I-" Jungkook tried to speak.
"How about we just head back to America? You loved America when we visited."
"Taehyung, I don't-"
"We can go to Egypt!"
"Taehyung! I hate it here, meaning I hate this world, meaning I hate this life, meaning," I'm freaking ending it."
Taehyung knew, of course, that his friend had hit his breaking point.
Nothing would change his mind. But Taehyung would still try.
Taehyung pat his friend's shoulder,"Not today, not yet. We haven't traveled the world, we still have more time."
Hopefully, Jungkook would forget about all of this, and be happy again.
Jungkook didn't reply; he only leaned forward as he stared into the water.
It flowed.
Flowing so calmly that he could even see the small life living in it.He wanted to end the calm.
End the calm with calamity.
With his calamity....He turned to the older boy," Taehyung, I think I must travel without you now."
Taehyung' eyebrows furrowed," Where? You aren't going anywhere without me. If you keep thinking like this, I suppose we just might have to marry each other." He looked up at Jungkook," Just stay by my side."
Jungkook smiled sadly, knowing that he would not fulfill his friend's request.
He leaned even further, one more inch, he would be free.
"Goodbye Taehyung."
He jumped.
In a panic, Taehyung grabbed on to Jungkook's arm, trying to pull him back up.
"Taehyung," Jungkook sobbed,"Let go!"
Taehyung pulled harder,"I won't!"
He had to stop him.
He had to keep him alive.Jungkook tried to swing his body to escape his friend's grip," Let f*cking go, d*mmit!"
He had to stop him.
He had to stop him.
He had to...One last pull from Jungkook.
His weight pulled the other over the bridge's ramp."Hyung!" Jungkook called out," Mianhe, Hyung, forgive me!"
Taehyung fell in what felt like slow motion.
He saw his life flashing in front of his eyes.
The last memory of his family.
"Taehyung, don't go. Don't leave me here with him."
"Aniyo, you must be strong. My sister, fight back."
"I can't."
Taehyung felt a tear roll down his cheek.
This was the end of his life.
He heard Jungkook's voice scream out for him, but he couldn't decipher what he was saying.
I have to stop this....
He closed his eyes, letting himself accept what was going to happen.
Letting his body fall through the air.
Letting Calamity ruin the calm...
"Forgive me." He whispered.
And the calm was ruined.
