'Genius is one percent inspiration, and ninety-nine percent perspiration.' — Thomas Edison
Thomas Alva Edison was born on the 11th of February 1847 in Ohio. The youngest of seven children. Edison is renowned for his contribution to science. Edison was a curious boy who got into trouble at school a lot. His teacher proclaimed he was addled — otherwise known as slow and dim. Edison proved this teacher wrong in several ways.
Edison's main achievement was the invention of electric light-bulb, but he also helped invent the phonograph and the telegraph.
