It was 4am. Louis was sleeping peacefully in his room, even though it took him a while to find a comfortable position to sleep in. His phone rang loudly next to his ear and he jumped up so quickly that the sleeping shiba inu almost flew off of the mattress.

As Louis listened to the informing voice his heart began to race and drop at a dangerous rate. It was the phone call he had been avoiding for weeks.

"Okay I'll be right there." Louis rushed out wiping a few tears that traced the outside of his button nose.

He didn't even bother to change out of his mini pajama shorts and Harry's white shirt. Of course Louis still hadn't told anyone besides a few that he was carrying a baby. It was starting to become slightly visible if you squinted hard enough, some people thought that he just put on some weight but didn't ask because that's rude.

As he made his way down the hall into the kitchen he tried to find his car keys by patting down the counter in the dark. He must've been making loads of noises as Troy made his way down the steps from Jay's room.

"Louis? What're you doing? It's 4:03 in the morning." He asked rubbing his eyes slightly.

"I'm going out. It's an emergency." Louis blabbered finally finding his keys and running out of the house. It was hard for him to run in his slippers without falling against the wood polished floor.

Since it was early, there were no cars on the road so that allowed Louis to drive reckless to get to where he needed to be. He wasn't even thinking about his baby at the moment which was entirely stupid of him.  When he found a parking spot close by the building he quickly turned off his car and ran out and into the brightly lit walk in.

The reception lady was typing away on her keyboard and looked up briefly at a panting Louis.

"I need to see my mother. Like now." He could hardly get out, getting choked up.

"And who are you?" She did the weird librarian look where she would tilt down her classes and looked up at Louis with her warm brown eyes.

"I'm her goddamn son. Please, I need to go now. Can I get a visitors pass or something?" Louis was rushing out and a few people in the waiting room watched him panic, some felt bad for him while others were just being nosey for entertainment.

"Alright, Jay Tomlinson's son? She's in room B215. You'll see it by the baby section and turn to the right, there's signs to guide you. Here's your pass and good luck." She gave the boy a visitors pass and he thanked her dearly before speed walking away.

Not paying attention, he got lost a few times. They switched her room for some reason. While trying to find his mum's room he starts looking for Harry's contact to call him. They haven't talked properly in a few days or so due to pettiness.

"Lou?" His raspy tired voice mumbled from the other line.

"Yes. I'm at the hospi-" Louis started and was cut off by his boyfriend.

"WHAT? Are you okay?" Harry asked loudly, much more awake than a few seconds ago.

"I'm fine, it's my mum. She's--she's dying Harry." It was hard for him to get out the last part as his voice cracked and a few tears spilled.

"Oh my god. I'll be right over." Harry sighed.

"Okay." Louis whispered finding his mum's room.

"Listen to me, you stay strong there okay? I'll be right there babe." Harry tried to make sure that Louis didn't feel alone in this.

"Okay." Louis whispered again, numb as his mom was in the room while he was outside of the door. It had Christmas decorations all over like every other door in this building.
