" what do you wanna be when you grow up?" i asked

you smiled and said, " a scuba diver."

"why?"

"scuba diving is like falling in love,

taking a deep breathe before you dive in. when you first dive into the water, you think you're crazy because of the overwhelming darkness you encounter at the start.

but once you've fallen deep, you see the beauty, the lights glistening around you.

the bubbles show where you can swim up and escape, but you don't want to.

when you're in the water, there's so much for you to see. but you don't have enough air to see it all, and that's part of the whole thing.

once in a while, you need to come in and out the water. just like how you fall in and out of love. but somewhere along the lines, you stop trying to fight it and just let it take you.

then you sink, deeper and deeper. you let the water drain out the air from your lungs.
and it overwhelms you but you smile.

because you're in love, and it's beautiful.

it doesn't matter whether you drown, it doesn't matter if it hurts.

you're in love, and that's all that matters."
