Mark's POV:
Jack started to blush like hell, I wonder what he was dreaming about. Today we had nothing planned because it was a day to get accustomed to college life, we didn't really need it but I would rather it than classes so I wasn't going to complain.
Jack was a strange one, I couldn't quite figure him out, I knew he was a dancer and sometimes I'd see him sketching but I could never tell what he was thinking. I was usually good at telling what people where thinking or about to say but I couldn't with him, which made me intrigued.
I knew I liked Jack from the moment I saw his tiny, perfectly built frame. But I wasn't going to admit that. I heard a knock at the door and before I had time to push jack off me he shouted,
"COME IN ITS OPEN!"
He's fucking loud. To my relief it was only Jack's friends; Felix and Cry was it?
"Hey guys! This is mark, Mark this is Felix"
The guy with the sandy blonde hair and headphones smiled and waved at me
"And Cry"
And the slightly smaller guy with a pure white porcelain mask replied
"Sup"
Jack let them inside and led them to his side of the room.
"Is this him Ja-"
Felix was cut off by Jack covering his mouth and hushing him. Strange kid. We spent the next hour setting up my PlayStation 4 and his computer. For a scrawny kid he sure has muscles, like I know he's a dancer and all but damn. Just made me wonder what's under his shir- MARK! Jesus I haven't even known the guy a week and I'm already thinking things like this damn. After about an hour of lifting shit and putting it together we where all dripping with sweat which made Jack's shirt cling to his perfectly toned body. Now I know what he's got, I felt my face heat up as he lifted his shirt to wipe the sweat off his forehead. My lip started to hurt a little from biting it so hard.
"Something wrong Mark?" He asked in his little adorable accent. I saw his friend Cry smirk and nudge Felix... sorry Jack I can't ruin my reputation, not today.
"I'm gonna get a shower" I informed him stepping into our bathroom discarding my clothing to the side before letting the water heat up. After a couple of minutes I set my playlist on shuffle stepping inside letting the hot water burn my back. I listened to the music singing along quietly praying no one would hear. After many shower thoughts I stepped out wrapping the towel around my waist and rejoining the group. I was greeted with a flustered jack and two sniggering friends. I rolled my eyes putting on some clothes, "What'd I miss?" I asked towel drying my hair.
"Yeah I'm just heading out to meet my friends"
On the way out I shoved passed Felix and Cry parting them.
"Watch it dickhead"
I slammed the door behind me and fixed the collar of my lacrosse jacket. I shook off the guilt and continued my way downtown to where I knew I could find Bob and Wade, the arcade. I walked down the familiar streets laced with decorative shops and fancy bakeries, until I saw the jewel of the crown. The arcade. It was a diamond among stones, well in my opinion anyway. Just like suspected, Bob and Wade were inside arguing. I smiled at the scene of bob laughing as he just proved Wade wrong again.
"Hey guys", I waved half assed a little tired to be honest.
"Hey Mark", the two replied as though prepared. I tried my best to smile convincingly but I knew Bob saw through it, I was just thankful he didn't ask. A comfortable silence fell over our conversation as the soft sounds of the machines created a symphony of nostalgia. I took a deep breath in trying to erase Jack from my mind, I watched as Wade ran further into the arcade. I went to follow him but Bob stopped me by placing a hand gently on my forearm making me face him,
"Mark I know somethings up" his words were like daggers. He didn't sound angry or even disappointed, instead a little hurt?
"You're crazy Bob I'm the same as always", he wasn't convinced.
"Mark you know I'm not as easily convinced as Wade over there," he spoke gently gesturing to the man child who was like a kid in a candy store.
"It's nothing important, I promise" I spoke solemnly to which I received a gentle nod signifying he was ready to comply with my answer.
After many hours of gaming, laughing and wasting money we headed back to the dorms. My smile of pure joy was soon replaced with a half smile of worry, I knew I had to face Jack. I walked slightly behind my two friends that were continually cracking jokes and dad puns to each other as my mind boggled over how I would address Jack.
The idea totes with my mind the whole way back to our dorms, after seeing Bob and Wade off into their room I stood outside my own. Taking deep breaths I dug around in my pocket for my keys, I guess I'm going to just have to bite the bullet.I couldn't bring myself to turn the key. Goddamn Mark, he's just another loser. Another fag, just like the others. Who was I kidding? I knew I couldn't lie to myself, I'm as straight as a rainbow. Only Bob knows, Wade would be too immature. I hunch myself over the railing looking out at the stars as I try to gather my thoughts, but my mind kept wandering back to Jack. He probably hates me, he's probably straight. I felt my breathing become more rapid, I'm being stupid. I need to face him.
As I stood at the door once more I turned the key
"Fuck it."
