I wanted to ask a lot of questions like, "What's going on?" Or, "Where's Niko?" But that would get them to think I was crazy. It was a dream? There's no way! It was to vivid. That had to have been an actual message from Soren.
I sat up and realized that I was the only one in the room. My body felt like it got hit by a wrecking ball.
I let out a huge sigh. It was just me, and my thoughts.
I thought about how the ghost seemed so sincere. Soren was trying to talk to me? He is dead. I can't believe it. He is still with me. In fact, I bet he's watching me right now.
"Soren, I know you're here!" I shouted, "I just want you to know that I miss you!" Just then, his head popped up in spiritual form out of nowhere. It nodded, then vanished into thin air.
That really frightened me. I moved back into my bed and laid down again.
Five minutes later, a doctor came in.
"Hello Micah! Well, you can sure take a fall, I'll give you that!" He said, "Now we have been running tests over the last five days and-"
"Tests? Five days?" I asked full of confusion, "I thought I fell yesterday! I was just talking to Niko, and-"
"Who is Niko?" The Doctor said, "Is he a friend, or close relative?" He pulled out his notepad and started writing this down.
"No. Niko is a ghost sent from my dead brother." I said without being sarcastic.
"I see..," he looked very suspicious, and then this came out, "You saw a real life ghost?"
"No, it was a dream.. I think"
"What did he say to you?"
"He told me that I shouldn't be sad about Soren's death and that he doesn't want me to end up like he did." I said
"Who's Soren?"
"My dead brother, remember?"
"Ah, yes," he reassured himself, "So let me get this straight. You fell off a highway and saw a ghost named Niko that was used as a messenger from your deceased brother?" He looked very confused.
I couldn't remember anything else before that. "Yes, that's what happened. At least, as far as I can remember."
"Okay," He said, "I will be back once I run a few more tests. Call If you need anything, alright?" He said as if I was a baby.
"Yeah, okay." I say.
I feel like I shouldn't have said any of that. Whatever Soren wanted me to know, he probably didn't want me to tell anyone else. I felt really tired.
************************************After a few hours of sleeping, I was woken up by the doctor. I opened my eyes, and saw some guards standing next to him.
"Hello, Micah," he said, "we have run the tests, and we have came to tell you that you have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia. So we will have to take you to a-"
"Schizophrenia? No. There is NO way I have schizophrenia. There must have been a mistake." I say in fear.
"We have ran the same test three times, and you indeed have schizophrenia. So as I was saying, we have no other choice but to send you to a mental institute." He said.
"I am not going to a mental institute!" I shouted, "And I am certainly sure I don't have any type of disease!"
I got up out of my bed, used all my strength to push through the guards, and ran out of the building. Still in my hospital garments.
