saying goodbye hurt so much

-The young girl read her sister's dairy. It held all the secrets her sister never told. And all the pain the girl had went through.-

Her sister had been molested and beaten by their own grandfather
The girl hated the man, but feared him the same
She hated herself and blamed herself for not protecting her younger sister
-the young girl weeped-

Her mother had beaten her at young age
Lied to her the rest of her life
Tried to get the older girl to lie about other people to get them into trouble
She hated her mom and loved her the same
She only hated her mom for what she did to her younger siblings
She blamed herself for not visiting her mom,
And not protecting her siblings from her mom
-the young girl screamed-

The older girl believed that it was her fault for the jokes
And mockery that her family, classmates, and friends did towards her
If she was just little better
If she was just stronger
If she was just smarter
If she wasn't herself
Maybe she would have be good enough for them
-the young girl sobbed-

She missed her great grandparents
She lost her great aunt
She missed her pets
But she knew she wouldn't be missed by anyone

She hated herself for cutting
But it felt so good
She feared if her family would found out
They already hated her enough for living

Then she realized
Why not just end it
Put everyone out of their misery
Her sister did say her life would be better without her
-the young girl: "I didn't mean it", sobs-

Three weeks later
After older girl's funeral
The young girl went up to her sister grave
"I miss you"
We all miss you"
"We should've seen the signs"
"You flinch at all my and other's jokes about sucdie and self harm"
"When we shared a room, after long day. You cried yourself asleep"
"You carried strong heart, but we just mocked you"
"You carried the weights of your past, non of us led a finger"
"You drowned in your sorrow. And we just poured water into your ocean of suffering"
"You protected us. Now your underground, with the thought being nothing more then a monster".
"Good-bye for now, my sister Kate"
She lays flowers on her grave
