I woke up that morning unsure of what actually happened last night. It wasn't until I pulled off the covers to see I was still dressed in my jeans that I realized last night was real. I pulled of my clothes from the night before and threw on a pair of old jean shorts, and a dark maroon, loose tank top. I left my hair down and walked out of my room into the kitchen. My mom was at the table next to my dad eating breakfast.
"Morning sweetie, want me to make you some eggs?"
"I'm okay mom, I'm just gonna head to school." I grabbed my backpack off the ground and slipped on my sandals next to the door.
"Are you sure I can-" I cut her off with a kiss on her cheek.
"Don't worry mom i'll be fine. Bye guys, see you after school." I headed out the door and got into my jeep before it all hit me. Hannah was dead, and she left tapes for those who were the cause, Zach being one of them. My heart sunk a little. Nothing would be decided until I talked to Zach at school about what was said on the tapes.
I pulled in the parking lot and headed to first period. Before I was about to walk into the building I felt strong arms warp around my torso, lifting me up off the ground.
I laughed a bit, "I'm really gonna hope this is Zach or this is about to become very awkward." I heard him laugh, and then he proceed to carry me a couple feet over to the side of the building. He let me go and I turned around to look up at him. He was far taller than me, and most people in school. I wasn't that short, but compared to him I might as well be. I smiled up at him and stood on my toes to give him a kiss; it wasn't until I remember last night once again when I dropped back down to the floor.
"What happened last night Zach?" I said in a worried tone, but I was immediately stopped.
"Don't. Don't say anything. I'll talk to you about it after school. Just don't say anything to anyone." He switched emotions so fast it was hard to keep up.
"Okay.." I wasn't going to ask questions but it was hard to try and ignore it. He nodded his head and that was that. We walked off to first together until we parted ways the class after. It was impossible to say the least. It was the only thing I could think about all day. When school finally ended we agreed to meet up at his house since his mom wouldn't be home. I pulled into his drive way and quickly headed inside to his house, making my way to his room. There he sat on his bed, looking as if he was about to throw up.
"Oh my god...you look awful. Are you okay??"
"Yes i'm fine, I just need to get this over with as soon as possible." I sat down next to him and that was when it all happened.
He told me everything. Every tape, every person, incident. Everything. The only trouble was deciding how much of it was real or not. Some parts were easy to assume real, others not so much. I began looked at these people completely differently, Bryce and Justin. Now I too, felt as if I could throw up.
"She's lying right...she has to be." He just shook his head.
"I don't know anymore." And we just sat there in silence. Neither of us knew what to say so we didn't say anything at all. Halfway through the silence we just laid there next to each other, close and in comfort. That was all we needed, or so we thought.A/N: I know that was an awful ending and not a good chapter but this takes place in the past compared to the episodes in the series; this acted as a kind of background information. The next chapters will all take place in the current time, starting in episode one. Sorry again for the stupid chapter, I swear it will be better.
