I am Desirée Stateson. This is the tale of "Rough Copyfied LOVE".
I walk into Nando's on a Saturday morning. It's quite far from my residence in Croydon. And right there, where I live, lives a group of boys who sing in the X Factor. Rough Copy.
They have a "homie" there too, Hannah Barrett. That 'un ain't very nice. She has a whole load of bad strength in her, and she ain't gonna give it up.
I'm in Nando's, ordering my chips and the delicious chicken nuggets on offer. Then I walk up to an empty seat where no one is sitting, and eat my ordered meal.
Right then when I am eating, the aforementioned ROUGH COPY walk in and sit down with their chips. I am stunned. This is the Rough Copy I've seen on television since day 1 in 2012.
"...so what I was talking 'bout, yeah, there's this girl, yeah, named Hannah Barrett, and she so damn beautiful. She's icing on the cake..."
They are talking about Hannah Barrett. The magnificent but evil Hannah Barrett. Tall as she is, but full of bad spirits.
By the way, that guy talking? Sterling. He is a block full of SEXINESS. If you ever meet 'im, you can't look him in the eye. Too sexy.
I'm in there listening. I'm stunned. I'm sitting behind Sterling and the famous black boys of the century.
When all of a sudden, the Queen of Badness herself walks in.
Hannah Barrett.
What is going to happen?
"HELLO boyssss!!!" She's on, swishing her Dolce & Gobbana striped dress, teamed with ankle boots and a black leather jacket. Everyone I meet says she ON about the fashion. Direct, stepping on pavements with her style.
When I, however, look at the outfit that I'm wearing in Nando's, I feel so poorly that I might twist and run away from the popular gang any minute from now.
Everyone turns to stare at Hannah.
"What are you eating TODAY, guys?" she continues. The boys are a bit shocked by her wayward movements but bravely reply, "Obviously you can see it 'ere, can't you? It's chips, babe."
That "babe" leaves a great, pounding force in my brain.
"Can I SIT with you?" Hannah says. The boys move politely and Hannah takes her "honourable" seat.
In the way of Mean Girls, probably.
And they're on again, chatting like every other person in the shop. The place goes noisy again, though it's spacious in there. Hannah catches me looking at them all, and her. She gets up and walks over to me.
(She's in the X Factor too.)
"What you lookin' at, darlin'?" she says sarcastically, but I don't reply. She insists, "I want to know what you're lookin' at."
Disgusted with her caringness, I bravely reply, "Nothing, Hannah, I'm looking around."
"How do you know my NAME?" she asks.
"Because I've watched you on X Factor," I reply. Then a little sarcastically, "Aren't you the girl on voice rest? Can I finish my Nando's?"
Hannah gives me a dirty look. That 'voice rest' remark surely got her, the little bitch. She walks back to Rough Copy's table.
Finishing my Nando's, I leave the food on the table, take a selfie for my Facebook and leave. As I leave, I give Rough Copy a little wave. They wave back, but they look surprised. They think I'm one of their fellow 'Croydoners'.
Well, I am anyways, but a little more than a Croydoner.
I'm a Roughian Croydoner.
I walk out of Nando's and notice Hannah giving me a vicious look. I don't care. I'm Desirée Stateson. No one can change that.
