Third Person’s POV
Niall rolled over his bed, sitting up straight. He rubbed his eyes momentarily, sighing and gazing off for a moment before he stood up and did a little stretch. He went to the shower after he scratched his neck lazily, then he went to brushed his teeth and got dressed for school.
He goes to school near the place where he works. He’s a barista in a little coffee shop and he goes straight away to his work after school. He works for his family, provided that his father had left them a long time ago. His older brother couldn’t go to work because of being disabled and his mother still tries to get more salary but it still wasn’t enough because of Greg being hospitalized once in a while.
He gathered the things he needed for school and for work after school. He grabbed his phone in the nightstand then proceeded downstairs, grabbing an apple and shouting his goodbye to his mum before slamming the front door. He took a bite of Apple, turning the lock of his phone then putting his headphones on. He was singing along to a song that came on as he crossed a pedestrian lane, not noticing a Range Rover on the way.
He snapped out of his own trance when a loud and obnoxious sound overtook the sound of music, coming from a black car. He pulled out his headphones, keeping his head low as he stepped aside the driver’s seat to say sorry to the driver.
The window of the car rolled down, appearing a brown eyed guy. The guy was wearing sunglasses so Niall couldn’t really see what he looked like, but the only thing he knows, the guy is quite attractive. But the thing is, he doesn’t date so he mentally slapped his head, but it’s not like the guy would be interested in him.
“Sorry, I didn’t notice you crossing.” The brown eyed guy said sincerely. Niall got confused as to why the guy was apologizing when in fact; he should be the one saying sorry because of crossing the road without taking a peek sideways and getting distracted by the music, coming out of his headphones.
Niall waved his hand, smiling half heartedly. “It’s cool. I should be the one saying sorry for not noticing your car, and besides, I was getting distracted by my music.” He explained, taking off his gazed from the guy.
Niall cleared his throat, feeling uneasy, for the guy had been staring for several seconds without taking it off of him. The guy snapped out from his trance and smiled cheekily. “Oh, is that so? Then you should give me your number for doing that.”
“Uhm… I’m sorry but I don’t give my number to strangers… I only give my number to my friends and for specific purposes.” Niall trailed off, glancing to his wristwatch. The smile that was plastered on the guy’s smile vanished and it was like his face saddened. “I really need to go now.”
Niall was about to run when the guy interrupted him. “Hey! I never got your name!” The guy shouted as Niall turned around and smiled.
“Niall.” He stated then sprinted out, mentally cursing himself for not realizing that he was already five minutes late in his first class.
He glanced to his wristwatch for the second time then he noticed his hand, slightly looking transparent then going back to its original color. He has always known that there’s something weird about him. He first noticed the weird happenings to him when he was seven years old, but he never told his parents – or brother – about it and he wanted to keep it that way. It’s not that he wanted to keep secrets from his family; he just doesn’t want to freak them out. He loves his family to death and just the thought of being disowned would practically kill him.
