I waited behind the rocks with a handgun that bore my constant nagging. I emerged above the rocks slowly to discern the regal palace that embraced my target. Covertness was all that was needed at that moment. Having taken a few steps towards the castle, I slowly slithered my hands into my coat pocket.
I usually had a kit to myself. The kit for safety. Or more befittingly, the kit for my missions. I took out that kit and had it ready. I advanced towards one of the innumerable doors the castle had.
'The target is at the bedroom', reported the voice from my earpiece. I never cognized the face behind the voice. I always had an apprehension that someone eminent had me governed. But my instincts had me destined to abide by the voice.
So, I waited by the door with my pistol ready. After a few minutes, the door flung open and a man in a black suit appeared. He whistled his way along to a bush nearby and started attending his nature's call.
It was the right time. I took out a rope, strangled him from behind and switched our costumes. I entered inside. I had to blend in. There were several guards safeguarding the castle. I slowly moved towards an entrance into the house as casual as possible.
'Go inside!!', ordered the voice. I slowly looked around and saw the men in black suits. I was quivering inside but tried to look as apathetic as possible on the outside. They looked oblivious to my actions. I wandered around the garden and spotted a ladder adhered to a wall.
I constructed a mental map of the path I had to follow. I went up the ladder and reached the roof of the building. Making sure I was inconspicuous, I tiptoed to the nearest window. I looked inside.
The room was empty. The voice instructed me to wait till the target turned up. I wanted to go ahead and kill the target as soon as possible but, as I said, I was a puppet. Nevertheless I waited. I was profusely perspiring and the gun seemed to slip out of my hand. At that instant, I heard a noise.
A big, stout man made his way into the room. At the same time, the voice notified me that the target had reached the room. I took out my handgun and made my way into the room with utmost chariness. The target looked stunned on noticing me and before he could make any noise, I shot him. His voice died but the shriek of my gun alerted the guards.
"Escape", ordered the voice and I made my way out of the room. I noticed the footsteps approaching and took out the ballers from my kit.
" Boom!!", the first shot threw a guard about several meters away. "Boom!! Boom!! Boom!!" and almost every guard who showed up in my way received the same treatment. I became confident and slightly brash. I perceived an impending mistake. But all my actions were governed by the puppeteer and I had little to do.
So, I stormed through doors becoming menacing with every kill and was at the peak of my  vehemence. At one point, I had a choice to make. There were two doors, one to the left and another to the right. My instinct chose the left one but the voice ordered me the opposite. Without my knowledge, I turned to the right and stormed in.
'BOOM!!'. The gun had been triggered and I watched the guard fly away from me. But something else flew away from me. My soul. I looked at my right and saw a man in the black suit grinning at me. Everything went blank.

The monitor screen read: MISSION FAILED.
"Yo dude!!! You messed up big time".
" I knew I had to choose the other one!!.. My bad!!".
"Chuck it.. You still have 2 more lives left".
The curser on the monitor clicked on the restart button.

I waited behind the rocks with a handgun that bore my constant nagging. I knew the protocol and sensed that I had to do it all over again except that I had to choose the left one. I learn from my mistakes by dying. Not everyone can do that. You see, I am immortal.
