Chapter Five

Late night troubles

My dad had just gotten home, it was like 11:00 pm and my little brother was already asleep.

"Hey you slut, come here" my dads drunk voice echoed through the room.

I got down the stairs as I walked to him.

Once I reached him I instantly felt a stinging sensation across my right cheek.

"Next time you should come down faster" he slurs out as he pushed me onto the floor.

I was always so helpless when he abused me cause if I ever fought back he'd hit me harder.

"Stay here you whore, I'm getting the whip. Take your shirt off" he said slowly as he stumbled out of the room.

Tears were already brimming my eyes as I took my shirt off, preparing myself for what was to come.

I heard my father stumbling back towards me as I turned my back to him so he could begin.

"This os for being so stupid"

*whip*

"This is for being a fuckin ugly slut"

*whip*

"This is for killing your mom"

*whip*

*whip*

I was already silently crying to myself. He continued this for half an hour until finally he realized he was out of beer.

"You fucking idiot, you didn't buy me more beer" he said.

"I can't, I'm not of age" I said quietly.

"Whatever, I'm leaving to buy more" with that he attempted to leave the house, not before bumping into the furniture along the way.

I slowly, and really painfully, got up as I headed towards my little brothers room.

I picked up Noah careful not to wake him up, and head to my car.

I begin driving heading towards one destination. The only destination I could think of.

About 5 minutes later, I was parked in front of Dinah's driveway. I got out of the car and headed towards the door.

I quietly knocked just to see if she'd come first.

"Y/n? What are you doing here?" The sound of her voice, was laced with worry. It made me break down.

I fell into her arms crying right away. She attempted to rub my back for comfort but that made me flinch in pain.

"Ow ow ow, dinah I recommend you don't touch there" I whisper to her causing her eyes to widen realizing what had happened.

"I have Noah with me, can we stay with you tonight?" She quickly nods her head causing me to go back to the car grabbing Noah.

I walked into Dinah's house taking in my surroundings.

I put Noah down carefully on what seemed to be a spare bed. I tucked him in before kissing his head, following dinah out.

"You can just sleep with me on my bed" dinah said.

"Oh no no, it's fine. I can sleep on the floor" I say quickly.

"You thought, Im not letting you do that, it'll hurt your back" she said caringly.

"I'll be fine"

"Yeah cause you're sleeping on my bed, now come on" we both got on the bed and wrapped the blanket around us.

A few minutes of being in the bed and I felt dinah wrap her arms around me pulling me into her.

"I will protect you" she mumbled out.
