Chapter 2: First Day Of Work

   ~A Week After You Move In~
Your POV
I woke up to my alarm clock trying to kill my ear-drums. I reached over to try to stop it but I couldn't find it. So, I pushed it off the table. After it stopped its beeping, I sat up and looked around at my new room. I couldn't believe I got to live in this house AND be the new editor for Team Edge. This was amazing!
I got out of bed and picked out my outfit for today. It looked like cloudy outside and I could hear the wind, so instead of just wearing my Team Edge shirt and some leggings, I pulled out a thick black hoodie and sweat pants to go over my normal clothes. I got dressed, did my make up and went downstairs.
It was 6:23 and it was... I wouldn't say a long ride, but a sorta long ride until I got to the studio. So, I grabbed my keys, my phone, a plain bagel and went out to my car. I started the engine and waited for the car to heat up. On the radio the song "Starboy" came on. Of course I started singing along.
Before I could even think about anything I pulled up into the Hi5 Studios parking lot and parked my car. It was now 6:52. I got here just in time. I got my belongings, stepped out of my car and locked it. I walked up to the front door and walked inside. No one was in the front room so I just guessed they were all in the back. I walked upstairs to my new office. It was very plain. The only thing there was a white table and a one of the spinning chairs. I couldn't wait to get it decorated. Maybe some F/C walls? With a few paintings. I'll have to think of more ideas. I put my stuff down on my empty desk and went to go search for everyone. I knew they were here, since the front door was unlocked. I went downstairs and I heard people's laughter coming from the back room. I opened the door and there was J-Fred, Bryan and Matthias setting up for one of their videos. "Hey Y/N!" Bryan said looking in my direction. J-Fred and Matthias looked up and smiled at me. "Hey guys. Whatcha up too?" I asked curious. "We're just setting up for our slow bike race video. It's gonna be great!" J-Fred said happily. I smiled and asked if there was anything I could do to help. They all shook their heads and told me to just do whatever I wanted. I didn't really have anything to do so I just sat down and watched the guys set up the race track.
   After about 5 minutes of watching the guys and doing basically nothing else, I walked out to the front room and saw Conner sitting at the table looking on his laptop and Mike cooking something in the microwave. "Hey guys." I said as I sat down across from Conner. Conner waved without looking away from his laptop screen while Mike actually gave me a proper greeting. "Hey Y/N. How ya been?" Mike asked. I gave him a thumbs up. He smiled and nodded. The back door opened and J-Fred walked out with a medium sized wrapped up box. He smiled and gestured for me to follow him up the stairs so I did. He walked into my office and this confused look spread on my face. I walked in after him and closed the door.
   Joey placed the box on my desk next to my stuff and he took out an even smaller wrapped up box from his pocket and placed it down next to the bigger box. I raised one of my eyebrows at him. "Well, would you like to see what these are?" He asked pointing to the boxes. I smiled and shrugged and I walked over to my desk.
I looked at Joey before I opened the smaller box. It wasn't the size of like a ring box but it was, maybe the size of of a basket? I don't know. I unwrapped the smaller box and it was a F/C pair of beats headphones. I gasped and looked at Joey. "Did you get these?" I asked Joey as I looked at him startled. "Yeah. The other box is from all the members of Team Edge." He said smiling. I placed the headphones down next to my phone and started opening the bigger box. Once it was fully unwrapped I could see that it was a touchscreen laptop. "Oh my gosh." I said completely surprised. I turned to Joey and gave him a hug. He hugged back and rubbed my back. " Thanks Joey" I said looking into his sparkling blue eyes. "You're welcome N/N" Joey said smiling at me. I giggled. (N/N means Nick Name of course. I just had to tell you just in case you didn't know -Author) I don't know why but Joey giving me a nick name made me feel all giddy inside.. Was I falling for him..?
Joey and I kind of just stood in a embracing position for a while. With his arms around my waist and my arms around his neck. We just stood into each other's eyes. Our lips and noses were barely touching. Our foreheads were pressed against each other as Joey kept looking from my mouth to my lips. I giggled and bit my lower lip. He's so adorable. I thought. I don't know why, but I felt the need to close the gap between our lips.
Then.. Joey actually seemed to read my mind and close the gap for me. My eyes widened but I got used to it and eventually started to kiss back. Joey started walking foward which made me walk backwards and into a wall. Joey moved his hands to above my shoulders and on the wall. We parted and looked into each others eyes again. Joey gave me a little smirk and I smiled. Then from downstairs we heard Matthias yell "Joey! We're about to start the challenge!" Joey chuckled. "I'll see you later." Joey said as he opened my office door and waved goodbye.
   I sat down in my chair and looked at my F/C headphones and smiled. After about 10 minutes or so of doing nothing, I got up and went over to Matthias' office. I knocked on the door and heard no answer. I looked over the edge of the wall of the stairs and saw Bryan coming up. I ran into my office and sat down. I was looking at the laptop box, when I heard a knock at the door. I spun around and sure enough, it was Bryan.
   "Hey Bryan." I said as I smiled "Hey. Ready to do your first edit?" Bryan asked me as he held up a flash drive in his hand. I squealed and then looked at my laptop box. "I king of need to get this set up first." I said and chuckled. He put the flash drive on my desk and told me to move over. After about an hour of Bryan setting up my laptop and me just doing nothing, like always.. He was finally finished! I got up and hugged him. "Thanks Bryan! You're amazing!" I exclaimed. He chuckled and handed me the flash drive. "You're welcome. Now the video you need to edit should be the most recent." Bryan said before walking out of my office. I nodded, plugged in the flash drive and got to work.
After about 45 minutes of using my editing skills to make this video perfect, I was finally done! I saved it, (I don't know how to edit videos so just go with it.) and safely took the flash drive out. I walked out of my office and down the stairs where everyone was eating Chinese food. Everyone looked at me and I showed them the flash drive. They all cheered and either gave me a hug or a high five. "Cmon Y/N. Eat this." Amanda said as she tossed me a container of shrimp, rice and broccoli. I smiled and started eating.
