On an early saturday morning Jay was just making breakfast for her family and her mom came out.”Good morning darling!” Mrs.Hurdel gleamed.

“Good morning,” Jay replied.

Jay had finished and sat down to wait for her brothers to come and eat. A couple minutes later all of her brothers came crashing down the stairs to eat their share. “What about father’s share?” Lance mumbled with food in his mouth.

“Lance Hurdel what have I told you about talking with food in your mouth!” Mrs.Hurdel scolded.

“He’s already gone to work,” Jay said.

Lance rolls his eyes at mom and quickly finishes his breakfast, “ I'm going to work.”

In the after breakfast Jay walks down to the fields and tends to the animals and crops. Her thoughts jumbled in her head, ‘Why can't I go off to the outer ring away from this place. My father never home. I love the animals and no one would really notice other than my mother, but even then she probably wouldn't care.’ The horse neighs at her like they understand and the pigs squeal and jump in the mud puddle. She sighs “ I wish you guys could talk to me. All I really have is you,”  she says to the farm animals and they all look at her knowingly.

‘Why couldn't I just go’, she rethinks that sentence. ‘What's stopping me? Nothing.’

Late that night as the moon comes out and the stars shine down, she slips out of the house and grabs a horse. It neighed loudly. “Shhhhhhhh!” She whispers.

As it calms down she saddles it and climbs on. She rides through town quickly and quietly as she sees the gate she slows down and a old woman is standing there. “Destiny flows through the air tonight,” she chuckled,” but heed my warning if thou shall fail to see the truth all shall suffer by the moon.”  (meow  -Blaze)

She had nearly fell off the horse she was so startled. She looked around but the lady was gone just like that. She made sure no one else was around and strode off into the night only guided by the moon.

At early dawn she had made it a good distance from the city and decided to settle down and rest. Only an hour later a boy shook her awake and she nearly screamed, but he had covered her mouth before she had made even a peep. “Its ok,” The boy whispered.
