Three.

Two.

One.

Three seconds. Thats all it takes to change someone's life. For good or bad, it doesnt matter. Throughout our lives we have many three second twists that consists of both the good and bad. Louis Tomlinson can second this.

Three. Two. One. A curly headed boy accidentally pissed on him in 2010. 'Oops' the boy had said. 'Hi' is what Louis had replied. This moment was a good, for it started the friendship that once was Larry.

Three. Two. One. Louis and the curly haired boy known as Harry were put in a band together later that year. This was also a good. It began the legacy that is One Direction

Three. Two. One. Louis walks in on Harry cutting his wrists with tears running down his face almost three years later. This was a bad. It showed Louis how much Harry struggled, and how badly Harry loved Louis but couldn't be with him.

Three. Two. One. Louis kisses Harry as the clock struck midnight, starting a new year. This was good. It was when Harry and Louis became HarryandLouis.

Three. Two. One. Management forces HarryandLouis apart later in the new year. This was bad. It broke both boys hearts, but shattered Harry completely.

Three. Two. One. Stolen glances are made on stage since the two boys cannot be together. This is bad. If you would look deep into Harry's eyes you would see him slowly drowning, spiraling into depression.

Three. Two. One. One year later and the boys are still apart. Harry has gotten worse, and Louis doesnt see it. This is bad. Harry tries to reach out to Louis but the boy is oblivious to what is happening.

Three. Two. One. Harry swallows the last of the pills in his hand. This is bad. He feels himself slipping away as the empty bottle falls to the floor. A letter addressed to his one and only clutched loosely in the other hand.

Three. Two. One. Thats how many times they try to restart Harry's heart, Louis sobbing next to the lifeless body. This is bad. Louis has the letter gripped in his hands, tears falling all around it as the medics let Harry go.

Three. Two. One. This is how many weeks Harry has been dead, and since Louis has talked to anyone.  This is bad. He hasn't eaten, slept, spoke. Laying in bed all day hoping this was all a dream, thinking of ways things could've been different.

"Three. Two. One." Louis says aloud before he falls into the rapids below. This is bad. He left his room for the first time, leaving a letter on the pillow. He only left to be with his love. Regret left deep in his heart is washed away with his body, and replaced with happiness. Harry and Louis become HarryandLouis once again, and this is good.

Three. Two. One. Those three seconds can make or break you. Destroy or shape you. Its your choice how you deal with it, and whether the good or bad lives up to its title.
