Chapter 31-Aplolgies

Hey guys!! Real quick question, would you guys be ok with me making Kagekao love Manami? It's not like I want to make her the center of attention like she's all high and mighty but I wanted to add more effect to the story. I'm not turning Manami into some super hot girl who gets all the guys. (She doesn't even have one guy but that's not the point.) I wanted to make sure it was ok with you guys if I made Kagekao in love with Manami that way he'd have a better motive to attack her and everyone else besides "I'm bored". So yeah. Leave what you think in the comments and I will see what I can do for the rest of the story!! ON TO THE STORY!!!!

  I finally decided to back inside and talk with my dad. He's really the only one I can talk to. My friends...yeah I can talk to them...Helen...of course but he hates me right now so he's out...grandpa is always busy...everyone else I'm not close to enough to talk about this or their busy as well.
  I walked inside and down to the basement where Helen, my daddy (yes I still call my dad daddy, got a fucking problem with that?!! We can go right now!!!), Uncle Smiley and Auntie Raven sleep. Puppeteer sometimes sleeps with Helen and the other times sleeps with Uncle BEN. I still don't understand why everyone looks the same age. Uncle BEN is shorter than me but WAY older than me. Helen looks like he's 19 or something but in reality he's like 50+!!!!! Same thing with my dad!!!! He's looks about 18-24 but he's like 80+!!! I don't even know anymore!!!
  Anyways, I walked down to my dad's room and knocked on the door. I heard a groan which meant he's asleep. I crept in and saw my dad asleep on his bed.
  I walked over to him and crawled into bed next to him. I heard him awake.
  "Manami? What are you doing in here?" He asked.
  "I need to talk to you daddy." I said feeling tears come to my eyes.
  "What's wrong?" He asked sitting up.
  "I'm sorry!! I snuck out of the house with the girls and Puppeteer and Painter and I wanted to get revenge on Kagekao for hurt Mike but everyone got hurt and it's all my fault!!! Mike is hurt, Rowan is hurt, Electra is hurt, Painter is hurt, Puppeteer got hurt but healed quickly, I managed to save Joueur and the new girl Lila!!" I cried. "It's all my fault!! I'm not trying to be cliché but it is!!! I'm so selfish and stubborn!!! I can't take no for an answer!!! I put everyone in danger and they got hurt!!!"
  My dad pulled me into a hug and rubbed my back. "You are stubborn but that could be a good thing and a bad thing. You just need to learn when it's the best time to be stubborn. You're not selfish, you were looking after your friend. You were mad and wanted to get back at him. Next time, if you want to go kick someone's ass, please come tell me. If you give me a good reason I will gladly help you and keep you from getting in trouble with your grandfather. I don't care if it's against everything your grandfather says, if it's important to you and it has a good reason, then I'm behind you. Just do be like your mom and sacrifice her life a million times to make sure no one is hurt." He explained.
  I smiled. "Yes daddy. Hey dad, can I ask you something?"
  "Sure, anything." He smiled letting me go.
  "Where do babies come from?" I asked tilting my head.
  He glared at me. "You already know that!"
  I laughed. "I know. I just wanted to make a joke. It obviously didn't work."
  He rolled his eyes and smiled, letting out a small chuckle. "Now really, what did you want to know?"
  "Uh, you don't have to answer but, how did mom die?" I asked.
  He sighed. "You've heard that she was brainwashed by Zalgo and disappeared for a year. Well uh about, hmm I'd say about a week before that stuff happened between me and your mom then she disappeared with Zalgo. Then when she came back to us we went out on a killing spree to celebrate her return." He started to hesitate. "We were at one house and the neighbors heard screaming so they called the cops without us knowing. We were surrounded and your mother got sick suddenly. She was also stabbed in the arm so she came up with a plan to get us out. She went to the roof and kept an eye out for us and before I knew what happened she was shot. She fell off the roof and landed in my arms. When we got her back, she gave birth but was loosing a lot of blood. She died the night you were born."
  "Oh. I see. Thanks for telling me. Anyways dad, I gotta go." I said as I stood up and hugged him.
  "No problem." He smiled as he hugged back and let me go.
  I walked out of the room and next door. Painter's room. I knocked on the door and waited.
  "Come in." He called. I took a deep breath and walked inside.
  "Hey Painter." I said softly.
  He was laying on his bed. He seemed a bit mad but then saw me and looked surprised. "Oh hey ES. What's up?"
  "I just came by to say...I'm sorry. I've been acting like a selfish bit-"
  "LANGUAGE!!!" Kagekao shouted from the cell.
  "Silence!! I'm trying to make a genuine apology here!!" I yelled. Painter laughed and I turned my attention back to him. "Anyways, I've been acting selfish and I should've put your lives above mine. I was just so upset about this bastard hurting Mike, I couldn't think straight. I wish I could redo this and do the right thing instead of having you all get hurt." I said keeping my head down.
  Painter raised from his bed and walked to me. I could tell he was trying not to limp. He put a hand on my shoulder. "It's fine. I get it. I shouldn't have been so hard in you about it either. I just wanted what was best for you. Better yet for everyone. When you left like that, I was afraid that we'd all be in some deep shit when we got back and I didn't want that. I should've talked to you like a normal person." Painter apologized.
  "No need for that. You were just opening my eyes to what was really going on. Thanks." I smiled and hugged him.
  I felt him wrap his arms around me as he hugged back. It feels good to get that off my chest.

  I watched as Painter and ES had their little moment. I smirked. Soon, I thought, As soon as I am out of here, everything for them is going south. Just a bit longer ...
