Bryce inhaled deeply, wind ruffling his strawberry blonde hair in the best way. His blue eyes gleaming with excitement as he stared out at the rising sun from atop the tall stone building. An arrow nearly missing his head interrupted his peaceful daydreaming. He glared at the shooter before leaping from one building to the next swiftly. No time to relax, never let your hairs down, lesson number 1. As he avoided the guards and arrows aimed towards him, he climbed from building to building, always 5 steps ahead of his chasers. He smirked, the black bandana and dark hooded cloak helping him conceal himself in the fading shadows. He heard the light clicking of footsteps against roof tiles near him and glanced over to see Satt running up next to him, a hefty bag of coin in his hand. He nodded to Bryce, who smirked beneath his bandana and continued to run towards their hide out in the mountains near the town. The yelling of guards and clanging of arrows faded as the two got further from the small coastal town. Both boy's laughter filled the silence between them as they slowed and began to walk.

"So how much did you get today Satty?" Bryce said once the two were inside, panting after the workout the guards had put him through. Satt only smirked and threw the bag to Bryce, gold and silver coins clattering onto the small wooden table. "Enough." Satt said with a giggle, falling into the wooden chair and munching on a price of bread he had also nabbed. "What about you?" He questioned, using the bread to gesture before biting off another piece. Bryce had a proud gleam in his eye as he pulled out a small bag. Satt gave Bryce a questioning look, but gaped when Bryce opened the bag to show Satt the pristine and clean-cut gems. "Where the hell did you get those!" Satt yelled, finishing the last bit of his bread as he examined the gems in the bag with glee. "Got them from the General's 'secret' stash in the barracks." Bryce said proudly, setting the rest of the gems on the table and grabbing a slice of bread and cheese and munching on it happily. Satt have him another amazed look, the barracks were swarming with guards, it was a feat just to get inside, let alone steal from the guards and get out alive. Bryce just shrugged, he had been doing this most of his life. After his mother died, there was just no other way, so his father trained him to be a thief; he had been branded as a thief, literally branded, on his neck, so now he had no choice. Satt was the same, he had also been branded as a child, but he was very sensitive about his past, so Bryce chose not to ask. The two sat at their wooden table and snacked on the remainder of their fruits and bread, they'd have to go get more tonight.

Ryan grumbled angrily, his mood the exact opposite of the upbeat tavern's atmosphere. People around him were drinking, laughing, brawling, but he had other plans. He took a sip of the odd ale the tavern served and it warmed his belly, but not his attitude. He huffed and poked his steel dagger into the wooden table, spinning it in a way that made it dig into the table. "They're going to make you pay for that Ryan." Luke, Ryan's closest friend, said from across the table, amusement clear in his voice. Ryan rolled his eyes, still bitter about loosing the two thieves this morning. The General was beyond furious, booming about how his family's prized heirlooms had been stolen from right under their noses. He sighed, "I don't care, I'll just pay them then." Ryan said grumpily, and Luke frowned. "C'mon Ryan, we'll catch them soon enough, we just have t- woah." Ryan raised an eyebrow at Luke who was staring wide-eyes at the door. Ryan turned and rolled his eyes at his friend, who was staring at a couple of boys who had just entered the tavern. One had midnight black hair, and darkly colored eyes that worked beautifully with his slightly pale skin. He was thin but nicely proportioned. The other boy was what made Ryan stare though, he was extremely tall, and had shiny strawberry blonde hair. His eyes were a brilliant, deep, blue that Ryan had a hard time pulling his gaze away from. The boy caught his gaze for a moment, smirked, and looked away. "I'm going to go say hi." Luke mumbled, star-struck. Ryan snapped out of it and went to stop him, Luke had a habit of being a little to head-strong when it came to this sort of thing, thought he could get anyone, male of female. It was too late though, he was already at the counter. He wanted to go and see what Luke was saying but he didn't want to intrude and ruin Luke's chances at picking up the blond.

Satt smirked at Bryce, watching as a muscular brunette flirted in an attempt to catch his attention. Satt almost felt bad, he probably would have if this wasn't so fun to watch. Bryce had a bad habit of drawing attention to himself, not on purpose of course, he just did. However, he loved playing hard-to-get and refused to let anyone who wasn't a thief get close to him. Satt watched as Bryce completely rejected the poor guy, but in Bryce fashion, he still managed to do it politely. He was a good guy, other than being a thief. For some reason though, the brunette was extremely persistent and Bryce couldn't seem to shake him. Satt felt Bryce grab him, confusion appearing on his face. He saw Bryce wink and his eyes widened, but Bryce's lips were already on his. He huffed and reminded himself to slap him for this later, but he kissed back lightly, his hands instinctively going around Bryce's neck. Bryce pulled away when the guy had left and laughed when he looked to see his friend sipping a beer red faced. "I'm going to fucking kill you Bryce." Satt mumbled and stood, Bryce had already bought the fruit, but Satt had wanted a drink. "Oh calm down, you know it was only to get that guy away from us, he was pretty decent looking though." He said nudging Satt, who smiled and shook his head, Bryce was always trying to hook him up with someone.

Luke huffed and sat back down, Ryan eagerly interrogating him. "He had a boyfriend." Luke mumbled, taking a large sip of ale. Ryan laughed at his friends annoyed expression. The two were gone and Ryan felt odd, almost like he was disappointed. He shook it off and continued to enjoy a drink with his friend as the two discussed tomorrow's schedule.
