Your POV:
You lay on your bed staring at the glowing stars you have on your ceiling. You are well aware that only children have glow in the dark stars that stick to walls but you didn't care. They reminded you from when you were a kid and how you would stare at your ceiling imagining like you were looking at the galaxy from inside your home. To this day you stick them onto your ceiling and once you go to bed and turn off all the lights the ceiling would light up.
It was midnight and you were about to go to sleep after just finishing all your schoolwork when you heard your phone vibrate. Curious you reach over to grab it to look at the notification on the screen. It said that rafinhaaa93 had just posted a picture on Instagram. You unlock your phone to see a selfie of Rafael and the caption read, "recovering once again".You couldn't help but to giggle remembering how he got injured during his last game as well. You commented on his selfie saying,"well look at the brighter side of things, you don't have to go to practice for the next couple weeks".
You lock your phone and put it back on its place on the nightstand. As you drifted off to sleep in your cozy bed, miles away Rafinha was just about to start his day over in Barcelona.Rafinha's POV:
I laid in bed waiting for her to comment on my recent post and just like I had hoped for my phone notified me that she did. I smiled at her comment because she was right, she knew that I wasn't a fan of having to practice almost every chilly morning. I smile at the comment wanting so badly to reply but I fight the feeling. After contemplating whether I should reply I finally just lock my phone and put it on the cold granite kitchen counter.
Her name was (y/n). I came across her comment one day when I was checking my posts. Out of all the ones there her's stood out, so I read it and it made me laugh. After that I clicked on her account but it was private. Curious I switch onto my second private account which was my decoy account, then I sent her a request. A day and a half later and she accepted my request. This girl was stunning, not only was she beautiful but she was kind and loving. I didn't know her but I felt like I did.
I made myself some eggs with sausages and sat alone at my table with only my meal and a cup of orange juice with no pulp. It got lonely sometimes, not having someone to hold or talk about my day with was at times miserable but I pulled through. I just haven't found the right person to fill in that empty space in my life. After my last relationship I've kind of become more protective of who I let into my life. In my heart I believe there could be something between me and (y/n). Even though she lives miles away in another country I still like to believe there is hope. She's the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing on my mind before I drift off to sleep. She was like a sweet virus that infected every corner of my mind, or was it my heart that was infected by her?
After finishing my breakfast I got ready for the morning and headed for a walk to stretch my jog. The morning air was chilly against my skin as I jogged down the street. My earbuds rang as they played my workout playlist. Beads of sweat began to drip from my forehead after 10 minutes of jogging. My jog reached its end when I arrived back at my apartment building. Exhausted, I took a shower and stood under the water as it drenched my entire body from head to toe. All these thoughts deluged my mind and it snapped the last string that was holding my strength up. Then like a rain storm, tears fell from my eyes uncontrollably. And that was how I spent my morning, crying in the shower.
