I'm changing from 3rd person view to 1st person view cuz its easier for me to write.

Lalna's piercing purple gaze froze me where I stood. My hand stayed at my side, gripping the hilt of my sword. We just stayed there, staring at each other. I felt sweat trickle down the back of my neck and I swallowed nervously. That bastard of an enderman had changed Lalna into an enderborn, and as a newly changed one, they are very unstable. But he didn't seem to be doing anything other than staring me down.

"Rythian....get me a mirror." The sudden demand made me jump a little. Usually I'm not scared by much but if you were in my situation and new what he could do, you'd be shitting your pants. I quickly searched the room for one and saw one propped against the wall behind a box. Retrieving it, I nervously handed it to him. He slowly turned it to face him and opened his eyes, which at some point he had closed.

His eyes widened and a tear fell down his face, only it wasn't clear, it was a murky black. Seeing that, more streamed down his face. He shot up, and threw the mirror at a wall harshly, it shattering instantly. I backed up and readied myself again. He looked at me briefly before disappearing, purple particles floating about where he used to stand.

'Crap! He could've gone anywhere!' I ran out of the room and caught sight of small particles here and there, rapidly disappearing. I half expected this since he didn't know how to control it. I chased after the plumes of violet particles, eventually reaching outside. I briefly saw him standing at the bottom of the hill before he shot off towards a forest. "Damnit!" I yelled, frustrated.

I teleported myself at the entrance of the trees and chased after him again. This just had to happen! I growled and sprinted through the trees. I had to find him before he did something stupid or dangerous, or both.

I caught sight of more particles eventually and followed them to a clearing in the woods. In the middle sat Lalna, laying on the ground staring at his hands blankly. Dried tear tracks covered his face, clearly visible with their gray color. I cautiously stepped into the clearing. A twig snapped under my feet and I froze but he didn't even glance my way, just continued staring at his hands. I noticed they didn't have their usual gloves on and I became curious.

As I got closer, he didn't seem to care. When I was finally standing a few inches away, I kneeled down next to him. "Lalna?" He finally looked at me, his now violet eyes staring at me monotonously. Instead of saying anything, he turned his hand to where I could see his palm.

Black lines where slowly crawling from under his sleeve up onto his hand. I took his hand gently and inspected the lines. They were moving faster than usual, rapidly making their way up. They swirled a little, twisted this way and that. "Rythian....am I like you now?" His voice was small and made him sound weak and vulnerable.

I nodded and he pulled his hand away, staring at it again. "Come on, we better get back." I said, helping him up. I walked back through the trees, him following silently behind. I glanced back, seeing him with his head down, trudging along.

I understood how he felt, I had to go through it. Once we escaped the trees, we made the trek up the hill. I almost tripped a few times and silently cursed Lalna for making his place on the hill. I looked back at Lalna again and saw him flawlessly sidestepping small holes and rocks. I didn't know if it was from already knowing the way or him being more aware of his surroundings.

We walked through the door, making our way through back to his room. Our footsteps rang out clearly amongst the silence. We reached his room and I pushed the door open, immediately going and cleaning up the blood on the floor. I didn't want to see it any longer.

After I cleaned it, I looked over to see Lalna had changed his clothes to a pair of jeans, a hoodie and he had a pair of gloves over his hands. He was silently watching me from his bed, hands folded in his lap. I went over and sat next to him, picking his hand up. I pulled the glove off and saw the lines had stopped right below his fingers. I set his hand back down before standing up.

"Take your hoodie off." I ordered, him staring at me confused before sliding it off. The dark lines were making their way up his chest to his neck and I sighed. Thinking I should show him what he'll probably end up getting, I unwrapped my hands, the old bandaging falling off. I pulled my mask down as well and he stared wide eyed at me.

The same black lines he had were wrapped intricately around my hands, just below my fingers. My neck and face had the same treatment only to a lesser degree. He stood up and traced the lines with his fingers delicately. I shivered under the touch and he glanced up at my eyes. He stayed there, head angled downward, eyes looking at me from under his lashes. I gulped and stared back.

I hated my purple eyes but his bright violet ones were beautiful looking. My brain started panicking when I felt myself lean forward and it screamed at me to stop. My body ignored it but right as I was about an inch away Lalna spoke up, stopping me. "Will this happen to me?" He whispered, breath hitting my face lightly.

I nodded a little and he stepped back. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and watched him retreat to his bed again. I shakily sat on the bed again and held both his hands, tracing the lines. "Why are you taking care of me?" He suddenly asked.

I stopped and looked at him, he had his head down, staring at our hands. "Well you took care of me plus I'm the only one who knows how to deal with this." I was half telling the truth when I said that. The other reason I was doing this was because I had this overwhelming to hold and protect him, it bugged me but there was no way to ignore it. He was supposed to hate me and vice versa but apparently that was thrown out the window as soon as he took me in.

He nodded and pulled away, laying down on the bed. He closed his eyes and I guessed he fell asleep. I got up to go to my own room when a hand gripped onto my wrist tightly. I resisted the urge to yelp in pain at the harsh grip and turned to face him. Pleading eyes stared at me and he looked overall pitiful as he asked me, "Stay?" I gave in immediately and sat down on the floor, leaning on the bed. He shook his head and scooted over, patting the bed.

I sighed and got under the covers next to him. I blushed as he held onto me tightly, snuggling into my shirt. Soon his breathing slowed and I assumed he was sleeping. I sighed, looking at the ceiling before looking back down at his peaceful face. I felt my eyes get heavy and I gave into sleep, hugging him back without knowing it.
