Today was Kurapika's birthday. He was planning to confess to (Y/n) but not until the end of the day in case (Y/n) might reject him and make his day bad.
Kurapika was on his way to his birthday party.
He stood in front of the door and his heart started pounding, a red blush visible on his face. He then took a deep breath.
~Kurapika's POV~
"You can do this Kurapika. Don't get nervous"
I opened the door and sweat dropped. (Y/n) wasn't even there yet! It was Gon, Killua and Leorio.
"Happy birthday Kurapika!" they all shouted.
"Thank you, where's (Y/n)?"
No one spoke as they all just stared at something behind me instead.
"Wh-"
I felt someone jump on me and wrap their arms and legs around my figure. I immediately blushed as I saw that it was (Y/n).
"Happy birthday Kurapika!" she shouted in my ear.
We all had dinner and then opened presents. (Y/n) got me a game of 'Scrabble' which I appreciated very much.
After that we watched a horror movie. Around halfway through it, (Y/n) grabbed my hand but her gaze was still fixed on the screen.
"U-Umm (Y/-(Y/n)?" I asked quietly.
She turned to look at me and it took her sometime to realize what she had done. She had a light blush on her face and pulled away, much to my disappointment.
"Ahh, s-sorry"
As the movie finished, I had realized that everyone was asleep except for (Y/n) and I.
"Do you want to play a game of Scrabble?" I asked.
"Sure"
We started playing and I realized that (Y/n) was concentrating really hard. She looked so cute. That's when (Y/n) looked up at me strangely.
"Is something wrong?" she asked.
"N-No sorry, is it my go?"
"Yes"
I had my go and won the game.
I suddenly remembered something which had made me blush a bright red and my heart started beating fast again.
I took a letter and placed it down but before (Y/n) could have her go, I placed down more letters until I had finished and turned it around.
It said 'I love you'
I saw that (Y/n) had a slight blush on her face and she placed down three more letters.
This time it read 'I love you too'
We stared into each others eyes and I scooted closer. We were so close that I could feel her breathing.
Then, I leaned in and kissed her. It was only a short and sweet kiss though.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked.
"Yes" she replied.
