Before I could make any attempt to respond or argue, he smacked the red button next to the ridged door and it began to trundle open. From the gap of the door shone a bright light. daylight? No. It was unbelievably big; roofs so high the felt unreachable, like the sky. On the roof was a blinding light, it felt like the sun, except it was ice cold. On the furthest wall were three large fans, loudly wiring a blowing a cold breeze through the huge building. The walls were horizontal giving the building a prism shape. There were no windows, only the lights on the roof. In front of me, a few meters away was an unusual machine. A dark stone dome with a glass top, a small door with a blue metal conveyor belt with odd red, liquidy shapes moving along it which then got dropped into a square hole in the ground. The machine was too far away to see what they were. At the back of the dome was a tangle of thick wires leading into a red tank. A low bubbling noise radiating out of it as a see through tube leading from the wall pumped a strange dark green liquid into the tank. Red buttons and panels clustered the front of the tank accompanied by flashing lights of green and orange. Then my head turned to the walls. It was a bark or cry that had caught my attention. On the walls, set like stair cases, were very disturbing contraptions. Cages. Huge quartered cages that appeared to be empty, that was until I spotted something small, orange and fluffy hiding in the corner of the nearest cage. I took one step towards it before I got sharply yanked by the ear to face the other way.
"I knew you weren't going to listen. Honestly, do you already have some kind of death wish" he complained, disappointed in my lack of control "I mean I know that purple eyes don't listen to blue eyes but trust me, ok?"
" Ok... I'm sorry" the words sat in my mouth before coming out, talking to him was such a challenge. Was is my lack of experience or just.. Fear?
"Oh believe me, you will be if you do it again. Anyway follow me."
Without complaint, I followed his instructions and followed him along the rough metal walls of the factory, not sure where I was supposed to look. Looking at him was not very interesting, neither was the battered wall beside me so I, without thinking, looked up. Above me was another part of the building that I'd missed. There was about fifty catwalks above me pointing in all directions. Some were straight, some horizontal and some even twisted round a disappeared into the wall. There was a never ending crowd if canine shapes, other androids! I quickly turned my head to the floor, nearly tripping over my own feet. Now this was definitely fear.
"Not getting shot back there are you?"
I did not respond.
"You're dead, that's great! I'm going to get set on fire for killing a purple eye!!"
"I'm alive"
"Yea.. I know" he stayed silent for about two seconds "so any questions about this monstrosity that you're about to be forced to live in?
I said nothing, a part of me wanted him to stop talking but another was fighting to keep him talking.
"Not really..."
As I looked up, my eyes met with his (or at least what was left of them) he was smiling, waiting for me to talk again.
"Uhm.. heh.. Well there is one thing.."
"And what would that be?"
"What was that machine?"
His face darkened. A cold chill sped down my spine, had I said something wrong?
"Oh that.. that's the blade. It's best not to mention it" he growled and turned away. I definitely said something wrong, I had the coldest feeling in throat. "Anyway, we're here. Just get the door read your eyes then you'll be fine. I need to go get my eyes fixed. Goodbye, purple"
"Bye" I quietly muttered as I turned to go down the hallway next to me.
" CHAMBER 34!! DON'T FORGET!!" He called to me before briskly walking away from the hall. Once again, there was no opportunity to call back.
The corridor was long and small (at least compared to the rest of the building) about the size of an average corridor in an average house. The floors were a sad rose pink and the walls were decorated with a light dirty cream pattern. The doors were made out of dark oak wood with the numbers written in fake gold, the metal showing in places where the paint had fallen off. The doors started at one and looked to go up to about fifty. Looking the numbers as I went, I cautiously wandered down the hallway. Every now and again my metal claws would get stuck in the plush fibers of the floor, still, it was a nice change from the rough cold stone or metal floors in other places.
Room thirty two.. room thirty three.. room thirty four! It looked just as the other doors did; the oak wood was chipped showing the lighter wood from under the varnish. The number sign had hardly any golden paint left and it was now rusting in at the edges. One of its screws had fallen out and the sign was now slightly lopsided. There was a shiny silver lock on the door with a purple screen. Centered on the screen was a paw pad symbol. Obeying it, I put my paw on the screen. Expecting the worst, I braced myself for impact.
There was a click as the door unlocked itself and edged open. I felt a bit stupid, what was I expecting to happen? Still nervous, I pushed the door open
It was a fair sized room with plain but inviting decor. On the side next to the door was a light Grey block sofa with a coffee table. The neat table was painted white and neatly placed on it was a flower and a book which were both completely white and on closer inspection, both completely fake. The flowers were made out of floppy rubber and the book was plain-covered and impossible to open. Across the room was a flat screen TV stood in between two speakers that were almost as tall as the TV itself. Beneath the TV was a set of shelved, painted white and entirely empty. The floor was a dark gray the walls were an ever so slight cream white. The light was covered by a small glass lotus shade, lined with simple swirls to its petals. Just about everything that could be painted, was painted white. not a single piece of dust was evident on anything.
I stepped in, closed the door and sat calmly on the sofa. All though I was alone, besides the green eyes grasp on my muzzle, this was probably the safest I'd felt in my entire life so far. It was a new and comforting situation until the TV, which I was guessing was fake, turned on and screeched. High pitch wailing blasting out of the speakers. Then, the same face that had greeted me in the small room appeared on the screen. It stared silently for seconds before speaking in its unnatural cacophony of a voice.
"Hello... 958 and welcome to your personal chamber! You will spend spare time in this room. Please do whatever you want to make yourself comfortable. To keep you safe, I will now state the rules.

And then, the video cut out with a high buzz from the speakers.
