Hermione's POV
My latest break down has earned me the title of... 'The Delicate One'. I only know this because sometimes I walk in on Harry, Ron and Ginny talking about me like that, in Grimmauld Place. We all know that it brings back terrifying and miserable memories, but where else could all four of us live? We couldn't couldn't stay squished up at The Burrow forever. When it came to being 19 years of age, we had to move out. We couldn't put any more stress on Molly and Arthur with trying to feed us and pay for our robes. Even though Arthur had been promoted to The Deparment of Magical Catastrophes and Molly had started a muggle bakery, they still weren't earning enough to care for eight people. Arthur, Molly, Charlie, George, Ron, Ginny, Harry and I. Bill was still in Shell Cottage with Fleur. We sometimes went over there to say hello and visit Dobby's grave. Charlie was still at The Burrow because the Ministry of Magic had asked him to consider taking an Auror Training Course. At this time, May, he was studying for his course in November. We'd asked George if he'd like to move in with us, but he refused to move away from the place where his twin was buried. We didn't have the heart to pester him anymore.
But, now that we've moved out we've been struggling a bit. Sure, Harry has a bit of a fortune and I have a bit of gold from my muggle-born allowance, but Ron and Ginny came with next-to-nothing. A few Knuts and one or two Sickles.
The solution was quite simple: we all got jobs. Harry was already working as an Auror, thanks to his magnificent defeat of Lord Voldemort. He left at 7am and got back at 6pm.
I've already started up my own business. I'm quite proud of it, actually. I found premises in Hogsmeade and I've named it 'Elf Enslavement Association Against Barbaric Slave Labour'. So far I've managed to convince nine elves to take wages, sick leave and pension, and I'm positive that that's a good start. I've certainly had plenty of negative feed-back, but as I've hired none other than Luna Lovegood as my 'mail answerer'. Her dreamy and sometimes alarming replies have frightened a few people. I open up at 8am and finish at 4:45pm.
Ginny's working part time at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes with George, Dean and Seamus. George needs a lot of support nowadays. She starts at 9am and gets back by 3:30pm.
But it's Ron who I'm worried about. He's found a job in the Department of Magical Games and Sports. Starting work at 6:30am and finishing at 10pm, he's the one who I hardly ever see. While the rest of us get weekends off, Ron insists that the Head of his Department wants him to work weekend as well. Sometimes I'm not sure about whether he's truthful all the time or not. Even though it's been almost two years since Lord Voldemort got killed, Ron still has the same kind of stress, if not more. It's worrying me a lot. I think I should ask him...
