In 17th century France, the Bordeaux family lived as a very esteemed and noble family. Lord Claude and his wife Beatrice were blessed with three beautiful children: Abel, Delilah, and Kain.

A year after the youngest of the three, Kain was born, a war brewed and the Bordeaux family population declined. Many brothers, fathers, uncles, and sons were lost. Being as acclaimed as they were, The Bordeaux's could not afford to have their family die off. Thus leaving Abel, Delilah, and Kain to bring their family name back to it's former glory.

However, Lord Claude had to stop the endangerment of his family from happening again, he spent many restless days trying to find a way to preserve his bloodline.

Until one day, Claude heard of a man. To say he was a man is an understatement, more like an god. A horrifying, god that craves the taste of human blood and has murder in its veins. Lord Claude spent many of weeks trying to track down this man, until he found in on the English countryside.

Claude explained his situation to the man; who identified his name to be Victor. Claude asked for his secret of immortality so he can pass it on to his children, when Victor declined, Claude pulled out a generous amount of coin. That seemed to persuade Victor better, Victor agreed to convert his children into what he called vampires.

Although Claude was elated that his children would never age that did not solve the problem of repopulation of his bloodline. He asked Victor for one more favour: To let his children have children of their own and then change them into these vampires. Victor agreed for a nominal fee for his wait.

Claude returned home to deliver the news to his children. Their children opposed as they did not find the life of immortality appealing at all. But Lord Claude had none of that, and further explained that he wants them to do the unthinkable, he would like them all to have children out of wedlock and all with different mates, as he says it will "expand the diversity of his family." and when the finds that his children have pleased him enough with grandchildren, they will then be placed into the hands of Victor.

When Abel was 17 years old he was blessed with his first daughter, Cressida. He had two others Diane and Imogen. All beautiful, all different. Delilah had two sons, Rowan when she was only 15 and Caleb when she was 19. After almost dying while birthing Caleb, her father couldn't risk her having any more children. Kain wasn't particularly motivated to have children and had two children within the same year with two different women. Samuel and Sophia.

His 7 new grandchildren have pleased Lord Claude to the point where he was ready to bring Victor to change his children to vampires.

Years pass and his grandchildren have grown into beautiful offspring and his own have not aged a day. And never have Abel, Delilah, and Kain been so miserable. Having to hide from the sun, killing innocents and drinking their blood.

One night, the three have had enough and planned to kill their father so their children will not have to go through the same thing as them. That night Abel entered his father's chambers, only his teeth as a weapon, soon there after Delilah and Kain entered. Delilah holding their father's letter opener, Kain stood watch outside the door.

Abel leered over him and bared his teeth, Delilah stood close behind grasping the letter opener tightly, ready to attack if Abel failed to do so. As Abel was readying himself to rip his father's throat open, Lord Claude opened his eyes. It only took him a moment to put all the pieces together.

He then calmly got out of his bed pushed passed a frozen Abel and over to Delilah. He took the letter opener from his daughter's hand, her hands were weak from fear of what her father was going to do. Yet all Claude did was lean in and kiss Delilah's cold forehead, turned to Abel and grasped the side of his neck tightly, yet lovingly. The siblings shared a look, neither knew what was about to happen.

It wasn't until Claude trekked over to his Beatrice that Abel and Delilah knew what was happening. Delilah sprung into action at an inhumane speed, but Abel being older and stronger was able to grab Delilah and pull her to him. They watched as Claude raised the letter opener and plunged into Beatrice's throat.

Abel and Delilah watched as their mother struggled for breath and die a slow death. Kain, hearing all the struggle entered and took in the scene. To this siblings, to his father, to his dead mother, and back to his father.

Lord Claude walked to the door and said nothing but: "My own flesh and blood has betrayed me, and I will stop at nothing to destroy everything you have ever loved. And I think I'll start with you children's parents. Now please leave my chambers." He gestured out the door and the three scrambled out of his room and into the hallway.

The next morning, a courier showed at their door and gave their children word that their parents have died. Now with seven heartbroken children, Abel, Delilah, and Kain knew that it would not be the end of Claude's reign of terror.

And it was not.

When their children came of age. Claude managed to extract blood from Kain, as he was heaviest sleeper of the three and inject it into his grandchildren and killed them in their sleep. However, they did not die. They became monsters like their parents. But that alone was not the end of his tyranny.

One night, when the siblings returned from hunting for themselves and their children, they were missing two of them. Imogen and Sophia. They did not panic until Lord Claude gracefully came down the staircase. He told them that he was contacted Victor weeks before and he has come to "collect his payment."

Asking to explain himself, Claude said that he has given Victor Imogen and Sophia to do with them as he pleases. Not specifying what exactly will be done with them he calmly said "Don't cross me ever again, or you can expect more death of those you love."

Something broke in those three that day. They felt nothing, no pain, no sadness, no happiness, or love. And they knew nothing would be the same.
