Happier (Jared Padalecki Short Story)

A/N: Fair warning, slight nsfw in this chapter, but not a whole lot, like a few sentences.

I couldn't take my eyes off of the man in front of me. While waiting for Jared and Lexi to show up, Caitlin and Osric showed up. And Osric was gorgeous.

"I'm Osric." He said, extending his hand to me.

"H-Hi.." I said as I shook his hand. He had a nice, firm handshake that made my small hand feel pretty nice in his.

"Osric, this is Lapis and Jensen, her brother. Jensen, meet Osric." Caitlin introduced.

Jensen smiled and shook Osric's hand. I could tell he didn't feel right. Here was a stranger taking me on a date.

A red car pulled up and Lexi and Jared came out of it. She latched herself into his arm and smiled up at him.

"Hey guys." Jared said. He glanced awkwardly at me and then at Osric. "Hi, I'm Jared." He said as he shook hands with my date.

"So, what movie are we seeing?" Jensen asked, trying to break the tension that filled the air.

"Beauty and The Beast." Caitlin said.

Jensen groaned. "I hate you so much."

"Never seen the original, but Emma Watson is hot as hell. Oh! And Ewan McGregor! He was in Star Wars, 1-3. He sings, too! So, you know, we gotta see it." I shrugged.

"You've never seen the original B&B?" Osric asked me.

I shook my head. "Only saw Cinderella in sixth grade for a school thing. I wasn't a Disney princess girl."

"She was a Pokemon kid. Still is, never won't be." My brother stated.

"Ew." Lexi wrinkled her nose.

"Hey, Pokemon's fun." Jared said with a shrug.

"Beautiful and likes Pokemon." Osric smiled. I blushed and looked down. Man, I was liking this guy already.

"Well, we going?" Jared asked, pushing the door open for Lexi. We all entered the theater after them, buying tickets and concessions.

I sat between Osric and Jared, Lexi on his other side. Caitlin and Jensen set next to Osric.

The movie played out. Half way through, Lexi began kissing Jared, which soon turned into a make out session. Her hands slipped into his pants, not that I was watching or anything. After a moment, she pulled back, fixed her hair, and walked out. Jared followed after a minute, making it seem like maybe they weren't going to the same place to fuck.

The movie ended and we all stood, ready to go. I felt my phone buzz as I checked it, seeing the caller ID say "Jared".

"Hello?" I asked as I answered it. On the other line, I could hear moans and the sound of skin slapping against skin.

"Nngh, Jared, baby, harder!" Lexi moaned, almost screaming the command.

Jared grunted. "Cum for me, baby girl. Cum all over my big cock."

I felt tears form in my eyes. Jared told me he was saving himself until I was ready, maybe even beyond that for marriage. I guess that's another reason he left me.

I slammed my finger on the end call button, shaking uncontrollably. He left our triple date to fuck her.

"Lapis? Kiddo, what's wrong? What happened?" Jensen asked as he grabbed my arm and pulled me into him.

"Jared's off in his car, fucking her!" I cried. I began sobbing, unable to help myself. I couldn't believe him..

Jensen gripped me tightly against his chest. "Caitlin, take your friend home. Osric, she's sorry, but you gotta understand, man, it's s fresh wound. Hell, I'd cry if I had a new ex that went off and buttdialed me while fucking her new toy. She'll call you later, I'm sure. Let's go, sweetheart." He pulled me away with him, whispering soothing things to me. He really was a good big brother.

I stepped out of my bedroom, planning on getting some food. I heard talking, so I peeked behind the corner and listened in. It was Jensen and Jared.

"Listen, man, you fucking hurt her. I don't care how horny you got or how much you love your new bitch, you don't fucking do that!" Jensen said angrily. His fists were clenched, but he'd never hit Jared.

"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean for her to hear that.." Jared apologized, looking down shamefully.

"Jare, man, I love you but... You can't come around here anymore. At least, not while she's here. She's my baby sis and I'll be damned if I let anyone hurt her. You can come around next week for my birthday, I'm sure I can get her to go see Osric or Caitlin or something." Jensen told him with a sigh.

"Who is this Osric guy, anyway?" Jared asked. Did I hear a hint of jealousy in his voice?

"He's one of Caitlin's friends. Freshman in college, I believe. Seems like a nice guy. He called her the other night to make sure she was okay and all. Made her laugh. She hasn't laughed like that in a little while. I think he's good for her, even if it's just platonic." Jensen explained. A small smile lingered on his lips, making one form on mine.

"Yeah.. yeah, that's good." Jared looked almost pained. "Hey, I have to go. Lexi's having some party for her friend and she wanted me to be there."

"Yeah, man, have a good time." Jensen said as they both stood.

I headed back to my room. Jensen cared so much for me that he would stop hanging out with his best friend at home for me. I smiled and shook my head. I had the most amazing big brother.

And Jared might even be a little jealous if Osric. That was good, too.

Jen was right, though. Osric was good for me, platonically or not. And I planned to be good for him, too.
