After Voyager 1 reached deep space it randomly started sending us data, since it at had shut down years ago we were confused. We had no idea of what was coming through since the data was so out-dated that none of our current technology could decode it. We knew this data was send days ago and had no idea about what to do. So we decided to go to the archives to find out how to decode it, which was a pain since we had to decode it manually. When we did we were shocked to discover that it had found wreckage! We were confused since we had not sent any other probes that far into space. We were wondering where it was so we sent a request to identify and after about a week we received that it was at TRAPPIST-1. We immediately set our high power telescopes to TRAPPIST-1; and we couldn't see anything. But we were confident there was something out there. So we sent a manned probe to see if there, in fact, was wreckage of something there, and we already were planning a mission to go to TRAPPIST-1 so we just added another mission for the teams. The launch was scheduled for May, which was perfect.
